They were walking to the parking lot where the bus parked. Donghyuk had to stay behind since he needed to help the other guys to set down the tents. He felt bad he couldn't accompany Lisa. Lisa tried her best to drag her feet to move forward since the terrain was pretty bad and she needed to be extra careful. She almost tripped but managed to hold her stand but her bag dropped to the ground. She scrunched her nose as the pain from her ankle came back and when she was about to take her bag on the ground, someone already grabbed it. Lisa looked at the person and found Jennie carrying her bag. Lisa was confused why Jennie helped her after all this time and she was also scared of getting yelled at again.
"Seems like you could use some helps." She said.
Lisa was speechless didn't know what to say since the memory of Jennie who was scolding her kept popping up in her head. She was scared of whatever she would say gonna end up bad; so she stayed quiet.
Jennie noticed the silence from the taller girl when they continued walking side by side.
"How is your ankle?" she asked.
Lisa got startled by the sudden question from the girl beside her. She thought Jennie didn't care at all but now she was asking her condition, she should have been a little bit happier because at least Jennie asked which meant she cared.
"It-it's better." Lisa answered. Jennie just nodded.
They continued walking and then Lisa almost tripped again. This time, Jennie was fast enough to help her. "Be careful." she said while looking at her ankle, worried that Lisa might hurt her ankle again.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Then their eyes met. Lisa gulped.
Without thinking further, Jennie immediately grabbed Lisa's left hand and held it. Their hands fit each other well and Lisa felt Jennie's hand much warmer. When Lisa realized that Jennie was holding her hand, her heart skipped a beat.
"I will make sure you are not going to trip again. Come on. Just walk slowly." Jennie said in much softer voice. She led the way which was followed by Lisa from her back. Lisa's cheeks got redden upon hearing the soft voice from her senior.
They arrived in the parking lot, walking hand in hand. Lisa's heart beat had not slowed down since Jennie held her hand. Jennie helped to carry Lisa's bag and put it in the trunk. She also made sure Lisa could get on to the bus without hurting her feet as she had been supporting her body from behind. They were now in the bus and Lisa walked to the middle seat still holding hand with Jennie. Lisa sat down and that was when Jennie released her hand. There was a slight disappointment seen from Lisa's eyes.
"I have to go check everything before we are leaving. You stay here, don't go anywhere. You hear me?" Jennie ordered. Lisa just nodded, feeling intimidated by those eyes. Jennie then disappeared from Lisa's sight. Lisa finally released her breath that she had been holding but her heart was still busy pounding hard. She put her hand on her left chest wondering why she had been acting this way toward her senior.
There was no way she liked Jennie, she thought. But did she really not?
Students started entering the bus and began to fill the empty seats. Lisa's eyes were searching a certain brunette and her eyes landed at Donghyuk who quickly entered the bus. He walked towards Lisa's seat while smiling. He without hesitation immediately sat next to Lisa and asked her about her ankle.
"I am really sorry I couldn't accompany you earlier. How is your ankle?" he said. His voice seemed full of concern.
Lisa smiled and answered, "It's getting better. And please don't apologize. It is not like it is your responsibility to take care of me."
