Chapter 4:
It's 11 AM now, and I'm sitting in a pizza place near the movie theatre. I'm thinking of going to see a movie. I look at the restaurant, and it's pretty empty. I eat my pepperoni slice and drink a little bit of my soda. I hear that loud ringing of the bell when someone comes in. I look to the door and see a tall boy, with crisp features. He walks in with grace, and he doesn't seem to know how beautiful he is. He has lucious dark brown hair. His eyes are a remarkable chocolate brown. He's fit, and I can see the muscle on his arms. He's wearing a black tank, with cargo pants, and black vans. I can't stop staring at him, and I hope he hasn't noticed. He turns to me, and stares at me. I can't see what he's thinking. He doesn't do anything, then turns back to order his pizza. Once he's done, I see him look back to me. I wave to him, and he walks over to me. "Mind if I sit here? Seems like you'd like to talk to me," he says.
"No not at all, take a seat," I say as he sits on the opposite side of me. He's even more flawless up close. His eyebrows frame his face perfectly, and his facial structure is unique and quite attractive.
"Why do you keep staring at me?" he says.
"You're really attractive," I say truthfully. He looks at me, and his seriousness wipes away. He lets a small laugh out, and I can see his ever-so-perfect teeth. Perfectly white.
"You too, darling," he says, flirtaciously. I giggle, kind of oddly. We're both laughing now, and our eyes finally meet. "I'm Jack," he says.
"I'm Chloe," I say to him. He nods to me, and then takes a bite out of his cheese pizza. I decide I should probably finish my pizza, too. I finish the pizza and watch him finish. He finishes shortly after I do.
"Wow," he says, wiping his napkin to clean his mouth, "You're gorgeous," I look down at the table to hide my embarrassment. My cheeks turn into a bright red, "Oh my god, that's so cute," he laughs.
"Stop!" I laugh.
"Stop what?" he smiles, throwing the plates away.
"You're flirting with me!" I giggle.
"Am I?" he raises one of his eyebrows. I nod, and then we both start laughing again.
"What do you say, Chloe? A movie?" he asks me.
"Right now?"
"Yeah, right now! I'll pay for everything, alright? It's on me," he smiles.
"That's too kind I-"
"Chloe, come on," he begs me, and grabs my hand to pull me out of the seat. His hand is soft and warm, and I don't want to let go, so I stand up. Neither of us let go, and he looks down at my hands, "Do you mind?" he asks me.
I shake my head, no. He holds my hand, in a friendly way, and walks me across the street to the movies. As all of this is happening, I'm really confused because I'm not even looking very good today. I just threw on a pair of worn jeans, and an old blue shirt I got from a concert. We continue to walk, and finally we approach the theatre. "What do you want to see?" he asks me, still holding my hand.
"The fault in our stars," I say jokingly.
He goes up to the lady and says, "2 for the fault in our stars, please," and pays.
"I was just joking!" I say.
He just laughs while putting his wallet back in his pocket, and taking the tickets, "Well, I wasn't," Our hands finally seperate, and I can feel how sweaty my hand was because I'm really nervous. He opens the door for me, and I walk inside the theatre to the snackstand."What would you like?" he asks, looking at the menu.
I look through the bin of snacks, and order, "I'll have a small soda and a large popcorn,"
"Is that all for you?" he looks surprised.
"No!" I laugh, "We'll share it," Then I see that smile again, and I just want to melt. He pays for the food and then we look for our theatre. "I think it's this one," I say, leading the way into the dark hall. We enter the main area, and see that it's really full.
"Let's sit in the front because you can see it better," he says to me, and takes my hand once more, leading me to the very front row. "I hope the speakers aren't too loud," he sighs, and let's me pick my seat. He sits next to me, and then the lights begin to dim. We got here just in time; the movie is starting now.
