The boy stands there
Hand open,
Heart broken
With an empty stomach
But full eyesThe little boy stands there
Eyes gazing,
Tears streaming
His hand stayed put
Yet, his thoughts of hope
Began to drift. The boy stands there
Not little anymore
Empty and alone
Lost with no hope,
That the world would understandThe world reaches for his hand
Yet, it is too late
The little boy is gone.
