"Where are we even going? We need to go back for-" Sarah cried as Mary and her brother started dragging her away from the stop she had fell from, taking her away from her family. "You going somewhere safe, somewhere away from this mess," Mary said, quietly, "If you haven't noticed, it's a hell hole out there. We just need to get to David." Mary kept mentioning this "David" character over and over again. Who was he? Why did they need him? When was Sarah gonna break free of from the grasps of Mary and her brother so she could see if Mom and Andrew was okay? "Alright, we're here." Mary's Brother said, opening the gate.

It was a day like no other, the birds were singing, Sarah's mother was also singing, and Sarah was wide awake. She did what she usually did in the morning, wipe at her eyes, get dressed, ate breakfast, brushed hair and teeth, and went outside. It was seeming a bit gloomy outside, but, it seemed like that all week so Sarah didn't make any thought about it. She decided that today was a good day to see her friend Mary. It wasn't raining or anything, so it seemed okay to ask if she could come outside to play. So, on Sarah went to Mary's. She hadn't been to her house in a while, and they stopped talking a bit after what happened a few weeks back. But, Sarah hoped they could still stay friends, after all, they've known each one another for about 4 years, wouldn't want that to go waste for one tiny thing. After a bit, Sarah eventually made it to Mary's house. Sarah parked her bike, locked up the tires, and went towards Mary house. While walking closer towards the house, she saw that there was no car in the driveway, meaing Mary wasn't there. So, Sarah sadly went back to her bike. Maybe Mary really was still mad about what happened, maybe she really didn't want to see her face again or be talked to again. Sarah really hoped not. She really did want to be friends with Mary, it's just that she was going through something. Sarah shook her head, she didn't want this to ruin her weekend. After all, it still was seeming like a good day. One tiny thing couldn't mess the whole day, nor the weekend, could it? Sarah started peddling home, thinking on what to do next. She could go to Jacob's, or maybe just go home. Maybe she could go to the store, or maybe play with Brownie a bit. Or maybe call Mary, just to see if she was okay. Sarah shook her head again, she had to stop thinking about Mary, just for a bit. She decided to go to the store, maybe go say "Hi," to her brother's friend.

"Hey Sarah! How you doing today?" Sarah's Brother's Friend, Xavier, said as Sarah walked into the Major Convenient Store, which didn't really fit the name of the store well, "Did you see the news? It should be raining all week. Better get an umbrella." Sarah held her umbrella up towards Xavier, showing him that she will not have to purchase an umbrella. "Where are the choclate bars?" Sarah asked Xavier, who was the only casher on duty. Xavier pointed out towards the back of the store, "Turn left down aisle 4." After that encounter, Sarah went home, paying for her food first. Sarah noticed it was getting more dark outside, showing that Xavier was right. Sarah quickly peddled home, hoping not to get to wet. After walking into her home, Brownie, her dog, heard her walk ingto the door. So, doing what every dog does, began looking for attention by barking very loudly. Amber, Sarah's mother, heard the dog barking and knew Sarah was home. "Hi Honey! Welcome back home!" Amber yelled. "Hi mom!" Sarah yelled back, trying not to get pushed over by her own dog. Brownie may be kinda small, but she was strong. One time Sarah saw her flip over a coffee table using only teeth. Anyways, once Andrew, Sarah's Brother, heatd Sarah's voice, he immediately ran towards her so he could give her the biggest noogi of all time. But, Sarah was more clever that that, she ducked and tripped her brother. "Why'd you do that? What did I do to deserve this?" Andrew said, knowing what he had done to deserve that and what why he got tripped. Sarah could tell he was lying, so she turned her attention back to Brownie, who was practiclly crying for some hugs and pets. So, Sarah stood up and started heading to her room, with the dog in her arms. Once Sarah sat down on her bed, she released the beast of attentiom. "Heya girl, did ya miss me?" Sarah said to Brownie, knowing that the dog could not respond, "Let's check on what's on T.V today, okay girl? That okay with you?" Sarah was uncertain, but it seemed to her that Brownie nodded. She didn't make much of it however. Sarah picked up her remote and began scrolling through channels, trying to find her cartoons. But, on almost every channel, the news was on, talking about some weird thing happening in the city. But, after the news lied about a war that was suppost to happen in the city and it never really happened, Sarah didn't care about what they had to say. "Sorry girl," Sarah began, turning off the T.V, "Looks like we're gonna have to do something else. Brownie didn't know what that meant, but when Sarah seemed sad, Brownie seemed sad. The dog whimpered, so Sarah begam petting her to attempt to comfort Brownie. Sarah didn't know what was happening, but to her it didn't seem real. So, seeing that it wasn't dark out, Sarah got back up to go to Jacob's house to see if he could go outside to play. However, when Sarah went to the living room, it seemed like lots things were being packed, clothes, food, water, pictures, all those things. Suddenly, Amber ran into the Livingroom carrying lots of things that seemed like they'd be for a trip. "Sarah, there you are. Listen, we need to get out of the city. Just, go get some of your stuff. I'll explain later." Amber said, still packing. Sarah was very confused, she didn't know why they had to move so suddenly. Was it because of the news? Did her mom and her brother really believe what was being said. Did they- "Oops, sorry Sarah." Andrew said, bumping into Sarah, making her loose her train of thought. He dropped a lot of boxes filled with clothes, so Sarah went to go help him pick it all up. "Just, go and pack some stuff up and get in the car." Andrew said, pushing Sarah to the side. Sarah was really confused now. Why did Andrew seem so serious? If he was, it must have been for a real reason. So, Sarah and Brownie went to Sarah's room. Brownie was trying to get Sarah's attention again, but Sarah just stood there. Why did theyhave to only get some stuff? Why couldn't they just pack everything in a truck? Why did they have to leave there only home? Where would they go? What would they do? Sarah flushed all the questions out of her head and began packing little things into her backpack. She packed chewtoys for Brownie, book to read, clothes to wear, her laptop, her phone and computer charger, and grabbed some pictures of her family. Then she quickly put her backpack on, and grabbed Brownie and ran for the car, which was already running. It was raining very hard outside by now. "It's gonna he like this all week." Sarah muttered to herself, complaining about how she wouldn't be able to go outside. Once Sarah got into the car, she put Brownie into her cage, which was already in the car, and strapped herself in. After waiting a few minutes, her mom finally came out of the house along with her brother. Both of them were carrying a lot of things, making them take longer to get in the car. While waiting for her mom and brother to put everything into the trunk, Sarah got out one of her books. Sadly enough, the book was ruined because Sarah forgot to zip up her backpack, thus making the book wet, ruining the pages. "What else could go wrong today?" Sarah said under her breath. She was already mad that her day was ruined, what else could build into that? "Sarah, got everything you need?" Andrew said, stepping inti the car. Sarah nodded, looking into her wet backpack to see if she did indeed get everything. Only the things in the top of her backpack get wet, which was a framed photo of her family, which was saved because it had a cover, and her books. Her clothes were a bit wet, but not ruined. Her charger, laptop, and Brownies toys were in perfect condition. While in the middle of trying to get her phone out of her pocket, the car suddenly began to move. When Sarah looked up, she saw that her mother had gotten into the car and began driving.
