Prologue

His grasp on her arms failed and her small beaten body fell limply into the mud. In a foolish attempt to escape, she stood and ran as fast as she could towards the closest building, A force like a brick wall slammed her body to the ground once again. A moan of pain escaped her lips, as his hand came in contact with her cheek. She felt weak as her body was lifted and slung onto his shoulder, the air knocked out of her body. Her legs kicked with all she had, but the only response she got in return was the slight laughter that radiated from his body. Minutes had past, her frantic kicks to his abdomen just got more weak as her energy started to drain. She closed her eyes knowing that she was nowhere near strong enough to stop him. Her small frame was shoved off his shoulder and into the prickle bush, the small needle like branches presses forcefully into the exposed skin on her face, arms and legs. She felt the small beads of blood gather on her body.  A kick into her back made a scream leave her horrified mouth. A hand grabbed her wrist pulling it sharply, making her body flip over, the thorns stabbing into her beaten back. Another forceful kick directed at her stomach rocked through her body, the air she had gathered in her short gasps, leaving in a big gust.

A bell rang through the air.

She watched as his figure ran off and disappeared in the thick rain. Her body lay in a heap, as she breathed hard to get her breath back and her heart rate down.

Little did she know that this was just the beginning, and it was about to get a whole lot worse.
