Some of them were that poisonous that there saliva and sweat are deadly. Not everyone but that who were enough strong to go through this and able to do black magic and evil craft were the most powerful.

Vishkanya's were often use against powerful enemies during the time of the ancient India. Their body fluids would be poisonous to others. Sexual contact would thus be lethal to other humans. They could apply poison on their private parts without trouble. The victim would thus be killed while any sort of oral sex encounter. They kill cause instant death with just a touch. They kill target by seducing them and giving them poisoned alcohol. They could drink through the poisonous cup just to gain the trust of their victim. The poor victim would hence drink from a poisonous cup without even knowing it to be poisonous!

The Kalki purana mentions that, they can kill a person just by looking at them.

The Vishakanyas ("Poison Damsel" (Sanskrit Viṣakanyā)) are first mentioned in the ancient Indian treatise on statecraft, Arthashastra, written by Chanakya, an adviser and a prime minister to the first Maurya Emperor Chandragupta (340–293 BC).

Chanakya added extremely small amounts of poison in chandragupta's food since his childhood in order to make him immune against poison . As there were many enemies of the Mauryan Emperor he was likely to be poisoned at his home too. This was the exact same way the vishkanyas were created.

Other Sanskrit sources mention that a Vishakanya was sent by Nanda's minister Amatyarakshasa to kill Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya diverted them to kill Parvatak. Of course, the problem with all of these stories is they are fiction and no historical sources verify any of them. They lack verification from other historical sources.

One legend actually holds that Aristotle warned Alexander the Great about the dangers of such "venomous virgins" before the famous Greek King launched his Indian campaign. Another Indian legend even suggests that Alexander the Great died as a result of embracing a Vishakanya that was given to him as a trophy by the defeated King Porus.
