A friend in enemy territory

Two weeks, four days, twelve hours, and thirty minutes. That's how much time had passed since Tord disappeared.

The constant search without any success was driving Tom crazy.

He wanted to find Tord.

And he wanted to find him now.

For every minute that passed while they came up with no results, Tord could be slinging to his life.

Edd, Matt, and Tom had tried their absolute best with finding him, but nothing helped.

Tom sighed deeply and then got off his bed.

He couldn't lie inside for another hour, he needed to go outside the walls of the red army base.

Walking out of the big building, Tom took in the fresh air and walked outside the walls surrounding the base.

Pat and Paul had made sure to implant trackers on Edd, Matt, and Tom in case one of them either got captured or went missing, so Tom didn't have to worry about getting lost, he could just call them and ask for directions.

As he walked through the thick forest, he got the feeling someone was watching him, so he stayed on guard.

Then suddenly he heard a branch break behind him.

He spun around quickly and pointed the gun he had gotten from Paul at whoever was following him.

He blinked and then lowered his gun when he saw who it was, "Seriously!? I could have blown your heads off, you idiots!"

Edd and Matt held up their hands defensively, "Okay, sorry. We just saw you leave and wanted to check if everything was alright."

Tom placed the gun in the back pocket of his jeans, "Well, you've done that. Now go back to the base."

"Tom. Is something bothering you?" Edd asked calmly.

Tom threw his hands up in the air, "No, why would anything bother me. It's not like my childhood best friend/crush is missing, maybe even dead, and we have no idea on where the fuck he is! And we are certainly not on thin fucking ice when thinking about the fact that we are untrained and three of the closest people to Tord which makes us a perfect target for the enemies to capture in order to get Tord to talk! So no! Everything is just peachy!" Tom walked back and forth while waving his arms around in frustration.

"I take that as a no."

Tom stopped and glared at Edd making him take a step back.

"But what was that about Tord being your childhood crush?"

Tom's glare intensified, "Forget I ever said that!"

The two other males held back their laughs. Tom growled and started walking back and forth while having his arms around in frustration once again, yelling out nonsense, which only caused Edd and Matt to burst out laughing, holding their stomachs, trying not to fall over.

After about ten minutes of the three of them keeping this going, Tom heard something and stopped dead in his tracks.

He turned his head toward where the sound had come from and felt his blood run cold when he saw something in the bushes.

The male stepped toward the bushes and heard something move.

He took a sprinting start and launched himself into the bushes and caught the person had been hiding.

It was a male, about the same age as Tord. He had sapphire blue eyes and black hair. He had a nasty scar over his left eye that went over his nose.

"Get off me, you weirdo!" He shouted.

Tom grabbed the blue-eyed male's wrists and held them to the ground, "Not until you tell me why you were spying on us!"

By now, Edd and Matt had caught notice of what was happening and came running towards Tom.

Tom looked at them, "Let's get him to the base. Maybe Paul and Patryck can get him to talk."

Time Skip

After getting the male to the red army's base, he was chained to the table in the interrogation room where Tom, Matt, and Edd kept an eye on him until Paul, and Patryck came.

And as if on order, the two red army soldiers walked in through the door.

Patryck sat down while Paul stood next to him.

The chained up male looked a little frightened by their presence but tried to hide it.

"So, why were you spying on these three in the woods?" Patryck asked with a deeper and much more commanding voice than normal.

The male's eyes widened a little, "I just heard s-shouting, and I-I went to check it out."

"Stop with the lying." Tom walked forward towards the prisoner.

"Someone who just wanted to 'check things out' wouldn't have hidden in the bushes the way you did. Plus, your stammering is blowing your cover so bad."

The blue-eyed male looked at Tom's dead empty glare and then let out a sigh, "Fine. I was spying on you three by the orders of my boss. They were getting tired of the rebellious prisoner and decided to go for a different approach."

Tom's eyes widened and he growled, "What prisoner?"

The man didn't respond which caused Tom to grab his shirt collar and lift him close to his face, "ANSWER ME! WHAT PRISONER!?"

The male gulped, "R-Red l-leader..."

They all gasped, except Tom, he just gritted his teeth together.

"WHERE IS HE!?"

The male couldn't form the words because of the terror he now held towards the black-eyed male.

Edd walked over to Tom and placed an arm on his shoulder, "Calm down Tom. He can't talk if you scare him to death."

Tom shot Edd a glare before dropping the black-haired male back into the chair and took two steps back, "Now, talk!"

The male gulped once more and then started, "I joined them because of my brother, but I don't really want to hurt anyone. I want to help Red leader. But I can't. I don't have the power to do so. I want to help you, but they'll kill me if I do."

"How do we know we can trust you?"

"Just tell me what you want me to do or say to prove my trustworthy and I'll do it."

"What's your name?"

"P-Peter."

"Have you laid even one hand on Red leader?"

"I only helped to capture him, but I have not hurt him at all."

Tom sighed and closed his eyes for a moment before turning to Peter with a stern glare, "Okay. I'm going to ask you one last question, and if you give me the wrong answer then you're not going to like what happens next."

Peter nodded, nervously.

"What would you choose, family or doing what's right?"

Peter sighed, "I love my brother, trust me I do. But he's always been a rather bad person. So as long as my brother doesn't get killed, I would choose to do what's right."

Tom showed no sign of being happy with the answer, but he didn't look displeased with it either.

No one said anything. But they all knew who would decide if they could trust Peter.

Seeing as he was the most observant out of the three younger males, and Paul and Patryck didn't really trust anyone in this situation, the choice of trust or not was left to Tom.

Tom sighed and then smiled a little at Peter, "Okay, I trust you. But if you do anything to make me question that decision, I swear I will make sure you regret it dearly."

Peter nodded nervously.

Paul then spoke up, "Okay, I got a plan on how to get us inside."
