Scott woke up and smiled once he saw a familiar pair of arms around his waist. He carefully turned around to look at Sam, reaching a gentle hand up to stroke his cheek. Although Scott was closer to Peter, the spider was almost never around, so Scott and Sam had formed another strong bind.

"What time is it?" Sam mumbled into the fabric of Scott's dirty red shirt

"Its about two in the afternoon, I believe its time to get some lunch," Scott said without a moment's hesitation he headed off the bed leaving a very dissatisfied Sam Wilson behind. "Come on lover boy," Scott teased.

Upon arriving into the kitchen they saw Bucky who hadn't moved since the last time they were up here. Or it looked like that to the untrained eye, but anyone who lived in the tower long enough could see that Bucky had just gone down to the range. "Hey Bucky," Sam yawned at the soldier.

Bucky turned around and looked at them, offering a small smile before chugging the last of his water. "Are you ok?" Sam asked, gently shoving Scott as the latter tried to steal his muffin.

"Just tired, haven't slept since our last mission," Bucky confessed, looking down a bowl of fruit that had suddenly become really interesting.

Clint sat perched across from Bucky, the two snipers watching as the rest of the team below took care of the Skrulls. Clint fired one arrow, killing many of the shape shifting aliens, before being kncked sideways. He groaned and looked up, seeing the Skrull's leader Kl'rt. Kl'rt laughed before kicking the archer off the building, "archer down,"

Bucky watched as his soulmate fell from over 20 stories, seeing Rhodey fly over in attempt to catch him. Bucky was supposed to be watching his blind spots. Bucky was supposed to warn Clint is something was behind him.

"NO!" Tony's distressed voice came over the comms unit, following a loud crash on Clint's end. Steve ran over and tackled Kl'rt with Thor and Scott following close in pursuit. Bucky hopped off his perch and ran down to the fire escape to try to reach the fallen archer. He pulled his handgun shooting and goddamn Skrull in his way.

Upon arriving to the scene, Bucky was sure Clint was dead. The blond wasn't moving, had two ribs sticking out through his flesh, his arm was twisted in a weird way and had blood pouring out of his mouth. "Tony, is he... Gone?"

"FRIDAY detected a heartbeat, I'm going to fly him to Helen Cho." Iron Man replied, looking into Bucky's watering eyes.

"This is my fault," Bucky cried out softly, turning his gun on an approaching Skrull and blowing its brains all over the ground. "I should've been watching his blind spots, like a good sniper."

"Its not your fault, not even close." Natasha placed a hand on the soldier's shoulder, although they weren't soulmates the touch still felt comforting.

"Pietro would've caught him," Rhodey spoke softly, "Its my fault I couldn't fly fast enough."

"Pietro is still recovering from hid fall off of a building in a free running 'at normal speed' attempt. Its not your fault he could't be here," Steve supplied honestly, with Scott and Thor behind him, the latter gripping on to Kl'rt with his strong grip.

Thor dropped his hammer and handed Kl'rt- who was groaning in a very painful manner- over to Scott. The god dropped to his knees and stroked Clint's dusty hair softly until Tony told them that he had to fly the hawk to Helen or he wouldn't make it.

"Hey, Clint's tough, and he survived," Scott reminded the burly man.

"He wouldn't have gotten hurt if it wasn't for me, though," Bucky said, looking at the two lithe men.
