That same night...
"My god! Why's he taking so long?" A worried Charlotte mumbled.
Charlotte tries to call Zach's phone but he doesn't answer.
"Shit! Shit! SHIT! Where is he?" Charlotte panics.
The next morning...
"Ugh...what time is it, man?" Zach wakes up on the floor in Prince's room.
Zach rises from the floor and wakes Prince up.
"Wha...what time is it?" Prince wakes up as he scratches his eyes.
"Oh hell! It's already one o' clock in the afternoon. I gotta head home before my sister already thinks she lost her brother or something," Zach panics, afraid to get punished by his parents.
"I'll drive you," Prince offers to help Zach.
"Oh no. No. I'll just walk. I won't let my mom near you especially if she thinks you gave me some beer or drugs," Zach jokingly explains.
"Heh. Seriously? I mean, yeah, we almost went to a bar last night if you just accepted my offer but last night was pretty awesome. All night playing video games wass the best!" Prince happily exclaims.
"Yeah. Gotta say t'was rad, bro. Anyways gotta go. Talk to you soon as I get there," Zach performs their secret handshake with Prince before heading back to his house.
Just as he was about to go home, Zach remembered the stuff his mom needs for her cooking. Instead of going home empty handed, Zach went to the grocery to pick up the ingredients. After picking up everything he needs, Zach immediately runs to his home, which was a meter from the grocery. Finally, Zach reached his home, trying to catch his breath, and pressed the doorbell.
"Oh my god, Zach! We were so worried! What happened?" Charlotte hugs her brother as soon as she opens the door.
"Long story, sis," Zach sighs.
"Where have you been?" A disappointed looking Mrs. Yaleman asked, who had her arms crossed.
"Mom. Can I just take a deep breath please? I ran like a meter just to get home fast," Zach tires to explain.
"Plus I got the ingredients you need for your cooking," Zach tries to ease the tension between him and his mom.
"But still. We were so worried about you. We almost called the police. Your sister, she tried to call you last night but you weren't answering. Where were you?" Mrs. Yaleman asked.
"Fine. Fine. Since I offered Charlotte to let me go to the grocery last night instead of her, I bumped into her friend, Prince, who in turn gave me the opportunity to have fun. And "to have fun" I mean we played his video games all night with junk food on our side" Zach explains everything, "And again on the bright side! I got the items you need for your baking!" Zach adds as he smiles.
"Is that all?" Mrs. Yaleman asks.
"Yup. That's all," Zach nervously replied.
"Did he give you alcohol? Drugs?" Mrs. Yaleman rapidly asked.
"NO! And NO! The hell would he do that?" Zach scratches his head in confusion.
"Great!" Mrs. Yaleman smiled.
"And you, miss! Why did you let your sixteen year old brother out on a rainy night? Huh? Care to explain?" Mrs. Yaleman turns toward Charlotte, who was about to go up to her room.
"Mom. It's not her fault. Like I told you it was my suggestion to help her out. Blame me it's my fault not hers," Zach tries to defend her sister.
"Zach! Quit it!" Mrs. Yaleman exclaims as she tells Zach to sit on the dinning table and be quiet.
