Laura was siting in her room, rereading Harry potter for about the 1000th time. She was on the 5th book, which was her all time favorite book in the series. Laura had always been a fan of the Harry potter books. She was simply born into it. Her mother, Catherine, loved everything Harry potter too. She always read the books to Laura as a baby. Laura treasured this, because now as both her and her mom grow older they seem to have less in common no matter how much she loved her mom.
About an hour after she started reading she decided she was hungry. She opened the door, just a crack! And looked out. "Yus" she whispered, thankful she didn't have to confront her family. YET. She crept downstairs to not draw attention to herself. Mom was outside playing with her little sister, Ali who was two and a royal pain; Dad was at the front door talking to a sales person; and her little brother, 8 and yet somehow more popular then her was nowhere to be seen- probably at a friends house... She tiptoed behind her dad, and moved toward the kitchen. A bag of chips, some goldfish and some yogurt was was she was to feast on for the rest of the day.
She walked out if the kitchen, completely forgetting about her dad. "Hey Laura. Whatcha doing?" He asked, "What are you eating?" He wasn't a big fan of her staying in her room all day reading and not making friends. He also though she should "eat better". "Oh, hi dad. Just bringing some stuff upstairs. You know, the usual." She she said innocently. He gave her a look that said go get something healthy. She groaned and when back to the kitchen and grabbed and orange. Her father saw it and started smiling again, showing off all his features.
She returned to her bedroom, strung with dirty clothes and books. She started towards her Augustus Waters cut out and kissed it for good luck- it was one of her many traditions. She then sat on her bed and started once again on her marvelous novel.
After a couple hours she got lonely. She thought of going downstairs and laughed, pulling out her phone, and went on Instagram. Her fandom account wasn't anywhere close too 1k yet, but that just let her communicate with her followers more. She had a few fandom friends that really meant a LOT to her. She talked to them for a while, cherishing every word they wrote as they shared stories of what they didn't do toady. After a while though, she started getting tired. A while ago her parent had called her down to dinner but she never came and by now it would be over. She changed in to her favorite pjs (black guns and roses t-shirt and pink flannel pants), brushed her teeth, and snuggled into her unmade bed. After a while she officially decided she couldn't sleep and grabbed her book to continue reading.
