Trees. Green, full, luscious leaves. They sway in the wind as Em lays asleep on my chest. The grass acting like small needles, pierce my body as I lay awake staring into the sky. Birds chirp in the distance as a small smile grows on my lips, realizing how relaxful this is.
"Hey, Sam." Em whispers, sitting up. I turn my head, looking into her ocean blue eyes. Boy, I could just gaze into them for ages, swimming through the blue.
"Hey, Emilia." I echo back.
"Guess what?" She replies, a stupid grin forms from cheek to cheek as her legs kick in the air.
"What?" I ask, soothingly stroking her long, soft, frizzy, chocolate colored hair.
"I love you, Samantha." I chuckle slightly as she puckers her lips playfully.
"Love you too, dork." Lightly, I place my lips on hers. She takes the dominant roll, like usual, and extends the kiss.
"SAMANTHA!" Em and I both jump up, startled. We look up seeing my mother standing a ways behind us.
"Shit." I mutter. My family is a strong Christian family, which do not approve of gays...except of me.
"IN. THE HOUSE. NOW." Em looks at me with terror wide in her eyes as I get to my feet.
Em stands up too, wiping the grass off of her clothes, "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Evans-"
"No. I think you better leave right this moment, Ms. Emilia Matthews."
"But-"
"NO BUT'S! GET OFF OF MY PROPERTY NOW, YOU GOD DAMN FAGGOT!" Em and I both jump back at her use of fag. Never in my dreams would I think mum would call a gay human a fag to their face. Only pa would. But mum?
"MOTHER!" I scream. Mum turns around, bringing a hard hand to my cheek, causing Em to gasp, and hot tears to form in my eyes.
"LEAVE!" Mum shouts at Em, causing my girlfriend to run past us, and off our property.
