Chapter 2: Why Can’t I just Tell Him? OH Right I’m A Hybrid

Luke’s POV

There he is, Ashton. Gods he’s thinking so hard about the math when it’s so easy, oh what do I care I get to stare at him and his adorable thinking face. We were in math class right now though honestly we had every class together. He’s so beautiful. I wish I could just tell him how I feel. I don’t even care that he’s popular. Maybe there’s a chance he likes me back.

Oh who are you kidding Luke. Why would he like you? He’s Perfect you’re not. You should listen to the bullies they are telling the truth.

“Oh who asked you? Just shut up” I accidentally said out loud.

“I haven’t said anything yet,” Giggled that beautiful unmistakable voice that I loved so much. I looked up meeting Ashton’s eyes.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean you… um I’ll just go you probably have someone more important to talk to.” I said quickly standing to get up. Before I could even attempt to leave I felt Ashton’s hand on my shoulder. I turned to meet those sparkling and confused hazel eyes.

“No one’s more important than you, Luke why would you think there was?” He said, his eyes quickly widening at what he’d said but he didn’t make any attempt to correct himself.

“Y-you kn-know my name?” I asked quietly looking down at my feet. He knew my name, Ashton Irwin knew MY name.

“Of course we have every class together besides why wouldn’t I know the name of the most gorgeous blonde in the world, not to mention best sing ever as well, and smartest guy I know, not to mention such an amazing guitar player.” He whispered shyly. This was a side of him I’d never seen but I could tell it was really him.

“Um do you um maybe want to come over to my um house later?” I quickly realized what I’d said. “To um study o-of co-ourse” I added. He smiled.

“I’d lo-like to come over to your house later but to hang-out I actually understand all of this but you know it’d kill my reputation to let anyone know I get math easily. I’m lucky people took me being gay so easily.” He said. My eyes widened. Ashton was gay and wanted to hangout with me tonight. I had a chance. Wait I can’t tell him how I feel even if he likes me back. Why can’t I just tell him? Oh right I’m a hybrid…

“Okay so I’ll see you well next class I guess. Um should I give you my address or…” He cut me off:

“No I know where you live I’ll come over.” HE smiled and walked away leaving me shocked.
