"you look lovely. you're actually kinda shimmering and i think it's cool." Houston looks over at me. we are driving to dinner right now.
"that's very kind of you. my friend Quinn found this body glitter pen thing and i thought i'd give it a try. it's neat isn't it?" i tell him.

"it's is. do you have the pen with you?" Houston asks.

"i do, you want me to put some on?" i unzip my little wallet and pull out the shimmer pen.

"why not." Houston smiles. i put a quick swipe of the glitter on his right cheek bone. we park at the restaurant and he turns his head my way.
"do i look as lovely as you?" he asks.

"oh you're the loveliest of lovely." i read the sign on top of the building.
Classique et Charmant.

"i don't believe i've ever been." i say calmly.
"it's a very nice dinner. all sorts of dishes from everywhere." Houston tells me. he gets out of the car and opens my door.

"why thank you fellow acquaintance." i bow to him.
"my pleasure ma'am." we walk to the front and i open the door. there were lights hanging from the ceiling. tables filled with guests. i noticed an empty space in the middle of the large room. a dance floor. there were tables outside with candles and lanterns, along with a heavenly sunset painted across the sky in the background.
"reservations for Houston Sage." he says. the employee nods and leads us to our table. we walk outside and sit down at a small table for two. there was a lantern in the middle, joined with many lights all around us. it was really just magical.

"can i get your drinks?" the waiter says, she had a nice French accent.

"yes, i'll take your top choice of wine here." i say. she nods and looks up at Houston.
"i'll do the same." he smiles and she scribbles down the orders.

"i'll be right back with those." she says.

"thank you." i smile at her. i set my wallet down at the side of the table and fix the neckline of my dress.

Houston's Point of View
Caroline really is just stunning. she's got this personality that just adds to her being so beautiful. her kindness to everyone is stunning. her smile is stunning. everything about her already seems so perfect. how did my parents actually do this? out of all people they matched me with her. its only bothers me because i'd rather plan everything myself but i feel like we were just pushed together and our relationship is forced. i want to get to know her first. i plan on doing that. i don't want anything to feel forced to her. although it wasn't our choice to meet each other, i think we can still make it work if we both want the same thing.
there's also marriage at the end of all of this.

"i feels as if i have two months to fall in love with this girl. i want my wedding to be real, not fake. i want to be in complete love when i marry. but i don't know how it will work out."

"Houston?" i snap out of my thoughts and look at the girl in front of me. did i say that last part aloud.
"i think we need to quit worrying. everything is going to go downhill from here if we build up so many thoughts." Caroline tells me. i nod my head and sit up straight.

"what's your favorite animal?" i ask her.
"cows. i think they're adorable." she says.
"mine is a cat." i say.
"i like how you are so tough and hot but you also love kittens." Caroline giggles. then she stops and looks at me with wide eyes.
"i just called you hot." she says.
"and i thank you." i laugh, she joins me in laughter.
"where are you from Houston?"
"born and raised in south Texas. yes my parents did name me after a city there." i smile.
"i'm from California. a small town. my parents are made of money but i chose to ignore it. money is not happiness." she tells me.
"i agree." the waiter returns with our drinks and we order the food.

they restaurant had music playing in the background. soft music. the kind you'd fall asleep to. we stand up from our table once we finish eating. Caroline is about to reach for the door handle when i grab her hand. i pull her onto the dance floor in the middle where no one was dancing. i grab her left hand and put my other around her waist. the largest and most beautiful smile was plastered to her face

"you're quite the dancer!" she laughs. i twirl her around multiple times. soon a few other people join us on the dance floor.

Caroline's Point of View
after lots of twirls and dips, the song ends and we have an audience that claps for us. we walk outside to Houston's car. he opens the car door for me and i thank him. he drives us back to my door building and we walk upstairs to my room. when reach my door, i stop and turn around.

"thank you Houston Sage." i say.
"you're welcome my lovely acquaintance named Caroline Grey."
"this makes the list of my top three favorite evenings ever." i tell him.
"im honored." he says. Houston truly is an amazing person. everything i thought about him was true. he is kind, hilarious, thoughtful, caring. to add to the list, he is also a total sweet heart, great dancer, and handsome date.
we kinda just looked at each other for a minute. it wasn't the most awkward thing in the world, for it was a comfortable silence. something you don't get with most people. my eyes drifted south on his face. to his lips. he was perfect. Houston looked at me too. his eyes seemed to cover each inch of my face. his pupils grew larger, i liked his eyes a lot. my heart rate picked up the pace a little bit. his eyes were on my lips. they shifted back to my eyes- oh god and all he did was look, but it killed me. just simply stare in my eyes and it only took just that for me to kiss him.
