When I got inside my brothers were sitting at the table with my father, they looked as if they were about to start a meeting always so serious with them."Oh Rosslyn dear your home, your father would like to speak with you" my mom said entering the room looking very unamused with my father's presence.
I let out a loud sigh and sat down beside my little brother Jamie, who smelt like dirty gym socks, I scooted my chair over trying to escape the smell. I sat up straight and looked at my father, he seems nervous and this man is never nervous. "I came here to tell you all in person before you hear it elsewhere" he began then loosened his green tie, "Sophia and I are getting married this August before Rosslyn leaves for University" mom's eyes widened in shock and began to cough than got up to leave, I swear this man loves to rub his love life in moms face. Sophia was the receptionist at the companies head office until mom found out about the affair "I would love for my children to be apart of the wedding party" he finished, I look over at Jamie who looked like he was either going to cry or break something like our father's arms knowing Jamie's temper he would. "Congratulations Dad! We'd love too" Virgil said giving our father a hug "kiss ass" Jamie whispered loud enough for Virgil to hear and stomped out of the room and up the stairs.
" Sophia would like you to be a bridesmaid Rosslyn" My father spoke as I was leaving. I smiled at him and continued walking I like Sophia she was cool other than fucking around with a married man, but it takes two to tango at least that's what my Aunt Thea use to say.
I went straight to my room to lay down and drown in my thoughts, which is where I usually am in my head not paying attention to the world around me. That's probably why I always set myself up for disappointment I imagine how I want things to go and it never happens that way. My phone vibrated in my pocket it was my other best friend Kris, who must have just gotten out of cheer practice.

I am for some reason extra clumsy at parties even when sober, and I'm confident that I will probably fall a half a dozen times before I even get drunk.
I looked at my phone to check the time 5°clock, probably should get ready. I went to my bathroom to shave my legs and moisturized my whole body and put on my army green bikini, even though I know it was a terrible idea because you can see most of my ass but its my favorite it will look good with my overall shorts I plan to wear, when ever I find them.
I was standing in my walk in closet looking when I heard someone I turned around and saw Ash standing at the door to my closet checking me out. "Looking good Rossy" he said with a wink " what are you doing in here perv" I shrieked throwing a hanger at him and put my overalls on. "Your mom told me to tell you that supper is ready" he said "You could have knocked, I could have been naked!" I exclaimed "it's not like I haven't seen it before" he replied winking at me again I cross my arms this guy I tell ya "shhh what if someone hears you, plus I've filled out a bit since then as you can see, it has almost been a year Ashton" I taunt him as I walk by and out the door.
Ashton was Virgil's best friend since forever, I don't remember a time without him he's the one that pierced my tongue when I was sixteen after we forged my mother's signature on the parent consent form just in case his coworkers asked any questions. He didn't think I'd go through with is saying I was a goody goody like Virgil, daring me to prove him wrong and it wasn't the first nor was it the last. Anything that i've done in my life that is somewhat reckless he is at the center not to mention I had a major crush on him back then. While Virgil was in university we hung out a lot and we were really close and was always calling me his forbidden fruit. And when my boyfriend cheated on me with our math teacher he was there for me and in the midst of trying to make me feel better I kissed him I was so afraid he wasn't going to kiss me back but when he did it was hot and loving and weather it was the fact that the kiss was getting heated and needy or it just felt right he made me feel so alive, all of the late night motorcycle rides and heck the guy let me tattoo him.
I never trusted anyone more than I trusted Ashton so like any love struck teenager I gave him all of me and we cherished our intimate time together he was always so gentle with me even though most people find him intimidating but that was long ago.
And he was there for me when my Aunt Thea died which took a toll on everyone but I was in a very dark and depressing place, not to mention I lost 20 pounds and became anorexic.
I looked up from my plate to see Ash watching me, like he knew I was thinking about him "By the way Rossy your tattoo looks good" Ash said breaking the silence my brother glares at him "seriously man you were checking out my sister" Virgil spat "Virg, I'm eighteen not ten and he's the one that did it" I reminded my very protective older brother "When I went to go get her I didn't knock dont worry she wasn't naked she was in her bikini getting ready anyway it's on her thigh not her ass" Ash said he had to mention the last part right just to make Virgil awkward. We dropped it after that, I was too busy trying to eat my salad without getting dressing in my hair and I was getting pissed off "I'm going to chop it off gaa!" I huffed in frustration and tossing my hair over my shoulder "Then cut it" piped up Jamie, I forgot he was even sitting with us
"You'd look sexy as hell with short hair" complimented Ash "ouch" he hissed I'm assuming Virgil kicked him from under the table. "I mean I think you would look very nice with short hair" Ash said rewording his first statement for Virgil who gave him a nod approving of his friend new compliment.
"Well I better finish getting ready" I chimed getting up to leave the dining room.
I when to my ensuite bathroom and curled my hair and did my lashes, I looked at my phone to see that Sabrina had texted me

I replied and grabbed my gladiator sandals and was on my way. As I was passing the dining room Vergil was getting mad at Ashton
"What's with you hitting on my sister man" Virgil almost yelled "Virg there's nothing going on like I'd have a chance she's too beautiful for me plus she's an adult and she's your sister i wouldn't do that to you man" defended Ashton pretty much lying through his teeth. I hate that she's your sister oh your Virgil's sister teachers say it kids say it random people say it making me feel like i have to live up to my brothers reputation smart, kind, athletic and now a successful businessman. I get to the door
"Bye mom I'll be across the road" I yell to her in the kitchen
"Alright dear" she yelled back with her thick British accent that's only prominent when shes pissed off. She's obviously upset by my fathers visit today, I want to talk to her about it but i know better if she wants to talk she'll talk.
