Taylor's POV

I woke up from the sun beaming through the curtains, and the chirps of the birds from outside. Today, the weather was perfect. It was sunny, but the heat wasn't that radiating and it was breezy.

It was another Monday, but this time it was different.

I felt numb and down inside, it felt very far from the weather outside. If the weather outside was sunny and bright, inside I felt dark and somewhat emotionless.

This was probably the effect from Harry. He said he needed some space, and I can't help but think what he meant by 'space'.

Did he meant that we're over? Was he going to let us go?

But I decided to brush off the idea. He shouldn't be affecting me this much. He needed some space, and maybe so do I. I needed to be strong, I need to show that I can handle myself without him.

But can I?

I checked the clock and it read 6:32.
I stretched out from my bed, and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

After putting my jeans and a long sleeved shirt, I applied my grey eyeliner and red lipstick. I don't usually put on make-up, especially in the campus. But I felt like I needed to change up a bit. I just couldn't look at my old self knowing I was naive and flawed.

He said he needed some space, and maybe in that period of time I can think and recollect my thoughts. And maybe it's time for a fresh new start.

A while ago I was mourning because I thought I couldn't live without him. I thought I wouldn't be able to survive without him, but now I've thought about it, this was all new to me so that's why I was depressed. But I decided not to let him get over me. I needed to act strong, even deep down I know that I'm weak and I'm on my knees.

I exited my dorm, and walked through the hallways.

Was I letting him go?

The thought just strike me, and I thought hard for a while. He just said he needed some space, he never said he wanted to end this. But we'll just see.

I entered the cafeteria, and quickly spotted them. They sat in their usual table and Louis and Zayn were chatting and they were in a deep conversation, but Harry spotted me and made direct eye contact.

I quickly adverted my gaze at the vendor who was giving me the sandwich that I ordered. I smiled at him, and gave him the payment for the sandwich.

"You look different today, you're wearing make-up." He said before I can find a table. I flashed a smile at him, and quickly find a table to sit on.

While finding a table, some of my batch mates and students looked at me and gave me compliments. They said I looked different, and I should stick with my style.

Did I looked different that much?

I found one near the coffee station, and sat on the table alone.

Until someone tapped me on the shoulder, I turned to faced who tapped me. And it was Zayn.

Harry's POV

We went to the cafeteria early, since we have our first period at 7:30.

I still couldn't take my mind off her and also the fight I had with Zayn.

But now, we were sitting at our table just the three of us. Zayn and Louis was talking about their paper research, while I was left alone with my thoughts.

Zayn and I were okay. I mean, we weren't like before. We weren't all happy and pretended everything was fine, but we talked shortly and gave glances at times. We'd also have a short conversation, but it wasn't like before.

My thoughts got distracted, when someone entered the cafeteria. Her blonde hair and her electric blue eyes caught my attention.

She glanced and looked at me for a second, and we made eye contact. But she quickly avoided my gaze and got her sandwich and went to her table.

While walking towards the table, some students gave her glances and waved at her some even complimented her looks. I couldn't blame them, she looked different.

She painted her lips red and added some grey eyeliner. She wouldn't wear make-up at the campus, and with her new look I knew that something was up.

Louis and Zayn finally ended their conversation, and Zayn quickly adverted his gaze at Taylor who was eating her sandwich alone.

He stood up from his seat, and grabbed his empty mug and went to the coffee station which was next To Taylor.

After refilling his cup, instead of going back to our table. He tapped her shoulder lightly and Taylor turned around to see who it was.

She looked up at Zayn, and gave him a smile. Zayn sat down on the chair across from her and took a sip from his coffee.

I couldn't believe he actually has the nerve to do something like that. He sits on a chair across from her like it was the easiest thing in the whole world.

I couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about, and I also couldn't help but feel slightly jealous at the sight of the two of them.

"Mate, are you and Zayn okay?" Louis suddenly ask, and I shifted my gaze to him.

"Kind of, I mean we're making process." I shrugged, and continued to stare at the two of them.

"I know what you're staring at, Harry." Louis speaks up, and I raised a brow at him.

"Harry, you said you wanted some space from Taylor. Are you sure about this, or are you going to cut things off?" Louis asked, and I thought for a while.

I haven't thought about that, were things between Taylor and I over? Do I want her back in my life? Did I made the right decision to have some space from her?

"Honestly mate, I don't know." I replied.

And it was true, I didn't know what to do.

Should I break things off and leave her with Zayn or should I get her back?
