I take the twists on the road, it's getting dark i hope i can get there before sun down. I can still feel the presence of Bill being here, and i feel if I'm out past dark something bad will happen. Stop being a baby, we defeated Bill years ago, I tell myself. I park in front of the Shack, Soos is cleaning up from the tourists.
A small smile rises to my face, the shack is just how it was when i was kid. I unbuckle and step out.
Soos turns to my direction, "Sorry dude, the Mysterious of the Shack is closed for the day, you can come back tomorrow."
I step out of the shadow, "I'm not a tourist Soos," i laugh a little as he smiles.
"Dipper, You came back. So good to see you again old pal." He walks over and pats my back.
"Its good to be back, man just like we left it." I smile as i look up at the shack.
" yeah, yeah good times." He looks down then at me, "Where's Mable? Don't you guys go everywhere together."
"Don't worry Soos she's coming back, she'll be up here in a few weeks. She went on and became a high seller for a business back in California." I say looking at him.
"Good for her, i knew she had it in her."
We walk inside, catching up for lost time. He told me about all the changes,why Robbie killed himself, how Wendy took on her family's business, and when Grunkle Stan and Stanly will be back.
"So is Wendy never around anymore?" I take a drink of my soda.
"Oh no, she works here during the summer. The logging business is also ran by her older brother, they split the job She works during the school year and he takes the summer." He explains, happily.
"Nice, good." Is all i say setting my soda down, "well, im gonna go to bed, its getting pretty late." I head up to the attic were we used to room.
Once I'm in bed, shirtless with a strong muscled chest, i fall asleep quickly. Thinking about Wendy and how the summer starts tomorrow morning.
***"Come on Dipper!" Wendy yells, taking my hand.
"W-Where we going?!" I yell at her as we run through the trees of the forest.
"You'll see" she breaths heavily running fast.
We get to a clearing that over see's the town. She pants as she holds my hand, my heart races.
"D-Dipper, I've been wanted to tell you something." She turns to me
"What is it Wendy?" I look into her green eyes, her hair falling over her face.
"I love you Dipper Pines." She smiles big.
She moves closer, standing on her tippy toes crashing her lips against mine.***
I blink my eyes open, the sunlight peeking in from the open window. What a dream, i rub my eyes as i sit up. Could she still feel the same as back then, when i was just 13? I shake my head pushing the thought out of my mind.
I get up and get dressed, pulling on a white tee-shirt with my blue vest over it and some brownish shorts. There's a quite knock at my door, i comb down my hair.
"Come in." I say turning to the door.
"Hey Dip." I look up and see Wendy standing there.

"W-Wendy?!" My voice cracks a little as i stair at her, remembering the dream.
"Soos said you'd be up he could hear your steps." She steps in, "You ready for the first day of summer?"
Laughs a little, "yeah, You ready to work your ass off." I stuff my hand in my pockets.
"Wow, where did you learn that language Dipper." She laughs as she punches my arm softly.
"Ah, when you go through high school you change. And i've become a man, I'm not the little boy you used to know." I smile as i lean against the wall.
"You didn't change that much, you still have your kindness and your looks." She places a hand on my chest, "You got lean though, nice and strong. Not the Dipper i knew." She smirks and then bites her lip looking down.
I blush softly looking down, "Yeah, I started working out made the football team. Actually got a scholarship to Yale, but i didn't take it. I wanted to come back here, to the town that made everything a possibility to me." I look up locking eyes with her, my heart races as i feel this connection that i never felt before.
She breaks the stair and looks away to the door, "I should get to work, i'll see ya later Dipper." She walks out the room closing the door behind her.
Did she feel the connection to,? Is that why she left?
