Part 23

-Joe's POV-

Jason stayed home from school because he was sick.

-2nd period-

Joe: ugh, I can't wait for lunch.
Y/n: why,You don't like this class?
Joe: I mean I do but I want food.
Y/n: we still have advisory before it anyways.
Joe: ugh.

-lunch-

on my way to the cafeteria I saw a Zach walk up to y/n at her locker and start to talk to her. I walked over to them.

Zach:...where's your boyfriend?

I heard him say as I walked over to them.

Y/n: he is home sick.
Zach: you should hang out with me.
Y/n: no thanks I'm going to hang out with Joe.
Zach: come on, just for today.

He started to play with her hair.

Y/n: I said no thanks.
Joe: leave her alone.

He looked up really fast and y/n looked back at me.

Zach: were just talking.
Joe: she said no.
Zach: what's your problem? You guys aren't even together.
Joe: just go.
Zach: whatever. This isn't finished though.

He left.

Joe: you ok? Did he do anything.
Y/n: I'm fine, no nothing happened... thank you.

She hugged me and I hugged her back. It was one of the best feelings in the world. I wish she was mine. I kissed her head.

Y/n: Joe...
Joe: sorry, let's head to lunch now.
Y/n: ok.

We went to lunch and ate.

-after school-

I was waiting out front for y/n so we could walk home together but she was taking forever so I decided to go check to see if she was at her locker. I walked inside and saw Zach kiss y/n and she pushed him away.

Joe: I told you to leave her alone.
Zach: oh come on, like you didn't try to kiss her.
Joe: I did, before she had a boyfriend, now leave. Zach: no.

I took y/n's hand and started to walk away, I never looked behind me but I am pretty sure that he was following us. Once I walked off of school campus, Zach stopped following.

Joe: you're going to have to tell Jason.
Y/n: I know.

She said crying a little bit.

Joe: don't cry, it's fine, it's not your fault.
Y/n: I don't want Jason to be mad.
Joe: he won't be mad, just tell him.
Y/n: but what if he gets mad at Zach and they fight and he gets in trouble.
Joe: I don't know, I guess I didn't think about that, but don't worry.
Y/n: ok.

Then we started walking home again, when I got home I gave Jason the work he missed and he could tell something happened..
