Never again

I was in my car driving home when it already became darker outside. It was another hard day after work and my little son was probably waiting for me. I felt tired of my life. Since my husband died in a car crash, he left me alone with Jacky. I didn't know what I should do because every single day became longer and more exhausting. I had never time for myself and there was nobody who could help me. My hope disappeared quickly...

Suddenly I saw Jacky shouting at me. I was shocked that so much time passed and I even didn't know how I got into the kitchen. All the time I was in complete silence. Only the voice in my head and me.

Then he said "Daddy is behind you!", so I answered him that Daddy is at a better place now. "But he tells me that you should go sleep!" I didn't believe him and just said that it should be him going to bed. After that, he went upstairs not saying a word. When I was ready to sleep too, I gave him a goodnight kiss and went immediately to bed. It was so quiet...

Somewhen at night, I woke up because I heard Jacky talking to somebody. Did he sleep? I felt strange, so I decided to check his room. I opened slowly the door and saw something next to Jackie's bed. It was a man with black clothes. I was scared and tiptoed to the kitchen to take the biggest knife I found. When I returned, the man was still inside that room. I opened the door and ran straight to him to scare the man. But I didn't. I took the knife and stang it right into his body.

Then I heard a familiar voice saying "Mommy, no!" It was from Jackie. Suddenly I recognised that there was no man in the room, only my son and me. I didn't sting the knife several times into the man's body. It was my little boy... I never wanted to hurt him... He cried and his eyes were so sad. It was obvious that it was really painful. I wasn't able to do anything. The last seconds of his life he said: "Daddy warned you..."
