The small girl perks up hearing footsteps and hushed whispers, its pitch black outside but she can clearly  identify the two figures a woman who has cat ears and a human male accompanied by a small child with cat ears in the arms of the woman, she can also smell cologne it was oddly familiar almost like her fathers. The two people gently placed the small child on the front porch and quickly left the older child feeling a strong feeling of sympathy for the young child so making sure the two abandoners as the faunus child calls them as she opens the front door to make sure the younger child is ok, she checked its pulse, sighed in relief that the child is ok as the older girl struggles to pull the youngers sleeping body into the cabin lighting the fire placing the child on the couch with some blankets. The older child is sat on the front porch keeping an eye out for any grimm. She perked up again hearing the younger child move and yawn.

"where... were am, I?" the younger child questioned in slight fear, she's going to attract grimm if she's afraid. the older child walks in carefully as to not startle the young child now that the older girl has a clear look at the younger child she can identify the kid as a female and due to the light the younger girl has dark red hair, pale skin and ice blue eyes. her ears perked up the older can tell she knows she's there.  "Hello... erm... wats your name? Mines Frost." the younger looks at the white haired girl sceptically. "m.. mine... mines P.. Phoenix." The older girl nods thoughtfully for a few seconds. "ok Phoenix. I'll give you a choice. You can either stay here with me and I'll teach you how to survive on your own. Or you can leave through that  door and find you own path, alone, unprotected and unprotected."

the younger girl sits on the couch thinking for a moment the older knowing that the younger child is about two years old but the older had to make a similar choice. The younger girl speaks up with a determined look on her face. "I'll stay. I want to know how to do what you do... what ever it is you do."

I smile on the inside. "good choice. now you need gear and I'll  sort out the spare room  for you so you can have a bed." she smiles and nods her ears perking up with her mood.

"I'll also make some hot chocolate." her eyes sparkle at the mention of the chocolatey beverage.
