Fate (H.S)

She was very tired of that life, everyone was annoying and fake in that village so she decided to run away and leave everything in the past. It was the best for everyone; she would find a job and send money and help her family in everything but first she needed to help herself.

She packed everything and left home that night. She took with her some of the money she could save and went to the city because her flight was leaving at 6 am. Yeah, she already bought the ticket.

When her flight was taking off, she got in the plane and put on her headphones and slept until it was time to land.                                                                           London was beautiful, absolutely amazing but the shitty thing is that Scarlet hadn´t got enough money to stay in a hotel so she kept walking in the cold streets, and just her luck it started to rain. She kept walking till she saw a little coffee shop in the corner of a street and she run to it. When Scarlet opened the door it was empty, there was only a waiter behind the counter who was walking slowly to her, suddenly she felt dizzy and when he was just a few steps away she fell to the floor.

Scarlet got up and didn´t recognize where she was. She got out of the bed and looked through the window and she saw a beautiful backyard. It was quite big and so was the bedroom she slept in. She kept her gaze on the window, “oh, you are awake…” someone said behind her. She jumped and the boy who stood behind her smiled, “don´t worry, I won´t bite” he said. Scarlet returned the smile “I just didn´t hear you coming…so, can you tell me what happened?” she asked. “Well, you entered the coffee shop where I work and you were all wet and cold from the rain and I was walking to you when you all of a sudden fell to the ground” he explained; “sorry I didn´t mean to disturb you” she said, “no problem, but can I ask you why you were walking on the streets in a rainy day like yesterday?; she chuckled and answered “well,  you already asked (laugh) and I had just arrived yesterday to London and I don´t know anybody here, I don’t have where to stay and I don´t have enough money to stay at a hotel…” the boy looked wide eyed at Scarlet and she took a deep breath and finished “…and if you are going to ask why I´m here without my family…it´s because I ran away”. Scarlet realized that she wasn´t wearing her clothes, “sorry, but why am I wearing this pyjamas?” the boy laughed and called someone “Gemma can you come here?” “I´m coming” someone said from downstairs. Then a very pretty girl entered the room, “hi, how are you feeling?” she asked Scarlett“very well, thanks…umm…I’m sorry for disturbing you” “don´t worry, it´s ok…and don´t be angry but mum and I changed you into my pyjamas because your clothes were very wet” she explained and Scarlett felt relieved, yes…she thought that boy saw her naked, and she felt very insecure.

That day Scarlett stayed with the family, she know that the girl and the boy are siblings, Gemma and Harry, and they lived with their mother Anne. They were all so kind to Scarlett and she felt like in home but she didn´t want to bother them. Before lunch she wanted to leave but Anne didn´t let her, “no Scarlett, you won´t leave! You don´t have where to stay and besides we´re happy to have you here, you are a good girl and we don´t want to see you in the streets without a place where to stay” Harry and Gemma nodded at what their mother said. Scarlett´s eyes welled up with tears of happiness and she tried to deny but Anne hugged her and said “you´ll be like my daughter, we live here by ourselves and we would like to have you with us so we won´t be bored anymore” she laughed and then kissed Scarlett´s forehead. After lunch Scarlet told them everything about her life without a lie, and they listened and looked so sorry for her and when she finished they understood why she ran away and they gave her a tight hug, even Harry.
