chapter forty-one

Ashley's POV:

We had gotten everything unpacked in the house, went to my parents, and now we were back at home.

I was standing on the deck and looking at the pond in the backyard and thinking about when Patrick bought me this house.

"Hey.." Allison said

"Hey.." I said

She gave me a hug and said, "It's so good to be home.."

Allison and her kids had arrived about an hour ago. However, Anthony wasn't with them.

"You have an amazing husband.." She said

"I know I do.. So do you.." I said

"I know... But I'm a pretty horrible wife..." She said

"What do you mean?" I asked her

"Anthony cheated on me..." She said

"Als, I'm so sorry.." I said

"Don't be, there's no proof that he cheated.. I just know because he told me.."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked

"I've been seeing someone, someone that I shouldn't be seeing.." She said crying

"Als, tell me what's going on.."

"I can't.. You're going to hate me and Patrick is going to kill me.."

"You're my sister. I could never hate you, even if I wanted to. Yes, Patrick is my husband, but you're my sister... We share the same DNA, the Hastings DNA..."

"I filed for a divorce from Anthony and he doesn't care... He's with some new woman who is perfect and beautiful... She doesn't want kids and apparently neither does Anthony... He said he doesn't want to see our daughters anymore.. But I met this guy and I know you felt this with Patrick... Like you were the most beautiful and special woman in the world. He know about the divorce, he knows about Audrey a Lilly and he still loves me."

"I'm happy you found someone so fast.."

"Ashley, I'm going to get fat with you.." Allison said

I bursted out laughing and I said, "I'm sorry, I'm the worst... But you know Erica, Jess, and I are pregnant, well Jackie is pregnant too and now so are you.."

Allison laughed with me and said, "That's crazy.."

"So tell me who this baby daddy is.."

"I can't, you're going to kill me.."

"As long as it isn't Patrick, we'll be okay.." I said 

She gave me this smile and she was right. I was going to kill her...

"How could you sleep with him?" I yelled

"He was there and I don't know... But he likes me.." She said

She was crying and I hugged her and said, "Everything is going to be okay, I promise.."

"I hope so.." She said

"How far are you??'"

"A month.." She said

She went on to tell me that she just found out about the baby and the divorce was also pretty recent. 

I laid in bed with my upset sister and the next morning Patrick asked me what was going on last night.

I pulled him into our bedroom and I said, "Anthony cheated on my sister and basically filed for a divorce, gave her full custody of their girls, and says he doesn't want to see them again.."
