Book Vortex

Prologue

"Ugh" Cindy said as she slumped back onto her bed getting tired of what seemed like an endless amount of homework. Being a "bit" of a procrastinator she hasnt done any of her work in class Friday or any of her homework she was given- so she had tons to make up for. "I wish I could just go back to reading so I could finish my book and start on my new one.. The sweet smell of a new book's pages..ah. But nope, I have to do this instead." eye role.

About an hour or so later she finished up her homework and picked up the book she was reading on. "Our Fate. Hm, I wonder, at times it feels like I'm actually picking my own path. Oh well, back to where I was."

Everything has been so boring since mom and dad have been gone.. They decided I'm old enough to stay by myself while they go on their business trip *sigh* I've just felt a bit lonely I guess- *ring ring* "Ah, perfect timing someone messaged me."

"Ugh I should of known, she just wanted to use me yet again. She doesnt live that far, so I suppose she'll be here soon I might as well get that dress ready for her. No use in arguing."
a few minutes later
*knock* Hm, I guess she's here. Cindy walked downstairs and opened up the door to give Shelby the dress, but before she could hand it to her Shelby shoved past her "Oooh, I love the place!" Shelby exclaimed as she went to to go up the stairs. Cindy followed her in a hurry. "What's this..?" Shelby said holding up Cindy's new book. Ahh, she's gonna mess it up! "Hands off, that's my new book!" Cindy said angrily trying to snatch the book out of Shelby's hand. Shelby was taller than Cindy and easily kept it out of her reach "Aww, can't reach it?" Shelby said making a pouting face. She opened up the book to the first page, "Hm, once upon a time- huh..?" The book was glowing a bright golden color? "What's happening..?" Did her hand just go into the book?? Slowly but surely Shelby was getting sucked in the book.
