Chapter 3

Josie's Pov

"Penelope quit it. You're gonna get us in trouble" I say
"What did I do?" She asks
"You know we're only 14.." I start
"Almost 15" She interrupts
"hush. We're to young to have crushes" I say
"honey you crush on me not -" she says
"Say one more word" I say

We just came back from breakfast with our friends and as we were walking back to our rooms Penelope grabs my hand.
I'm not ashamed of who I am I just - my dad doesn't know yet and neither does Lizzie, or anyone for that matter. I'm just nervous about making things obvious.

I go over and throw myself onto Penelope's bed. She joins me and grabs my hand, I kinda pull away.

"It's okay, we're in private now" she says
"I'm sorry Penelope" I say
"You did nothing wrong. I'm the one that's sorry. I respect your wishes and will honor them" she says

Just to clarify me and Penelope will not be dating this young but as a teenagers she and myself know what we want and I've known for a while even before that I met her.

A few hours later dad calls us all down to the main room for an announcement of some sort.
Since my last conversation with p we met up with everyone else so we all walked together.

Alaric's Pov

"Hello students, I'm sure you're all wondering why I asked for everyone to be here" I say
"pretty much" lizzie adds
"I just wanted to congratulate everyone on the finals, everyone did fantastic. thankfully because if it were the other way around I'd have to cancel the summer trip" I announce
"what's the summer trip?" Brianna asks
"Good question asked by our newest student, a member of the bonnet blood line" I say and look at her only to see her laugh
"Thanks for the shout out" she says

I smile at her and continue on with my answer to her question.
I explain to her and everyone that the summer trip is to a water park during the first week of summer.
We all stay for a week straight and once we return the children who are able to see their family and permitted to leave and everyone else says behind and we have some fun of our own.

Once I finish a few kids have questions I answer them as best as I could.
"One last question" I say
I look around and hope holds up her hand.
"Yes hope" I say
"Could we go? It's late and I'm hungry" she says
I chuckle "you all may, have a good night"

Hope's Pov
Bri and I stand up and walk to the mess hall.
we get our food and sit down and chat.

"How's your dinner?" I ask Bri
"Pretty good" she smiles
"I bet it's nothing like what you had at home" I say
"Of course not, for you?" She asks
"Definitely not" I laugh
"You know I was thinking tonight I was gonna head out" I say
"and do what?" She asks
"And turn" I say
"Turn to what? Wolf, vamp?" she asks
"Wolf Of course. Wanna come?" I ask
"Definitely" She says mocking me, and we both laugh.

We talk for a little bit before finishing up. Once we are done we clean up and head back to my room.

"So what are you getting?" She asks
"Spear clothes, they never last during transitioning"
"sounds about right" she chuckles
"ready?" I ask
"yep"

I grab my clothes and we head out my room, we also stop by Bri's room so she can get a change of clothes and then we head out only to run into ..

"And where are you two going?" Lizzie asks
"out to the woods" Brianna answers
"The woods? With hope?" She says
"yeah is that bad?" Brianna says
"Duh! If she turns and bites you do you not know what's gonna happen?" Lizzie asks

I start to worry and stress. Lizzie ruins everything. I know how to control myself I wouldn't bite her.

"No what will happen?" She asks Lizzie
"You will die but first you'll suffer" lizzie says
"Lizzie enough" I shout
"I'll die?" She asks "why didn't you tell me?" She says turning to me looking very angry
"Because I wasn't going to hurt you" I say
"You don't know that, once you're there you can't control it" lizzie adds
"I'd like if you and your input would leave me alone" I say
"Fine I'll leave. Just be careful Brianna" she says
"Thanks. I'm actually just gonna go to my room"
she says then leaves.
