"Ok! let's start!" said Rela excitedly. The beginning of the lesson was stretching the wings and learning how to move them. Once Ave arrived, they began to demonstrate flapping patterns. There was also a whole lot of "She needs to pay attention to mine the most because I have the same kind of wings." Since Rela also had feathered wings while Ave and Emerald had bat wings and Dia had butterfly-like wings. Rose paw began to figure out how to replicate the flapping. "Now, Try to lean forward a bit and flap as hard and slow as you can." Advised Emerald. Rosepaw leaned forward and did what she was told to do, but in vain, for she flapped to rapidly and got nowhere. But that didn't stop her, she knew that in order to help and survive she needed to be able to fly, at least above the trees. Flapping speed was the catch, literally, she needed to get it to where she was lifted by the air, not just creating a "fan" that tired her out. Leaning forward, flapping, slowly increasing speed, Rosepaw finally began to rise off the ground. Everyone else flew up to her and made sure she kept a good rhythm. "Believe me, You will be able to fly almost effortlessly when you are in danger," said Rela. Rosepaw looked at her friend and smiled, "I hope so." Rosepaw got the hang after a while and soared, slowly teaching herself how to steer. "That's it! You're doing it! Wow, that was fun," Emerald said as they landed, "I've only taught kittens how to fly, and believe me, they incompetent as can be. Not that you were, Rosepaw." Rosepaw grinned, "Gee, thanks!" It was now pitch-black, except for the many lamps around the palace. By this time, everyone was hungry and they began to feast on pretty much anything edible that was found in the woods and brought there. Fish, mushroom, miscellaneous meats, berries, etc. They all had to eat quickly though, for the inx were tasked with guarding the Queendom. Everyone stopped before they were full though because they had some possible physical activity and the full moon has started to come out from behind the clouds. Ave had positioned Rosepaw, Rela, Dia, and Minx, who was the twin brother of Jinx, the annoying inx she had met before, as the guardians of the Star Balls, because these were the four least likely to touch anything. Minx was also lynx-like, but the polar opposite of her. Firm, serious, and easily annoyed could be used to describe Minx. The four were accompanied by Cerberus, the usual guardian of the Star Balls. Cerberus rarely talked, like his brother Orthrus, but they were not the "All brawn, no brains" type, they were very strategic and preferred to spend their time planning and revising their plans. The Star Balls were kept inside the palace, in a hidden door, so precious that they were blindfolded as they were brought there.
