"Your mother?" he said wishing he could have one more day before having to tell her why her mother wasn't there, like the other kids mums were.

"Your mother..." he said trying to compose himself.

"Well, if I'm going to have to tell you about your mother I'm going to have to start with the day we met." he said with a smile on his face as he goes to remember that day.

"Your mother, was the most stubborn, free willed, most beautiful woman I had ever saw in my life. I remember the first thing she ever said to me. I saw her in the middle of the park, and I couldn't take my eyes off her. And well she noticed, she came over to me and my heart was fluttering, and she said something I would of never expected, she said... Are you just going to stare or were you eventually going to come over?" he said laughing to him self.

"From that point I knew she was the one for me. But at first she didn't think so. She gave me a fake phone number three times, but every week I went back to that park just hoping I would see her perfect face one more time. And there she was walking towards me, I couldn't move. Then she said something i don't even remember what she said, I was too busy being lost in her eyes. She stared at me, like I was a freak. With out even thinking I kissed her." he said shaking his head in disbelief even to this day he couldn't believe that he did that.

"You kissed her, what did she do?" she asked with a smile on her face.

"Naturally she slapped me." he said with a smirk on his face.

"Wait what?" she asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"But then she did something I didn't expect... She grabbed me and kissed me back. She said she had been waiting two months for me to man up and do that." he smiles at her as if he was back there experiencing it all over again.

"Then what happened dad?" she asks with anticipation on her face.

"Then... Well I asked her why she slapped me then? She smiled so hard I couldn't help but smile right back at her." he said smiling like a school boy.

"Well what did he say?" she asks curiously.

"She said it seemed more dramatic if she slapped me." he says with a look like he was still stunned by that response.

She laughs and her cheeks turn a ruby red, then she asks. "So does that mean mum wore the pants?"

"I like to think I had some control, but yes, if she just looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes I would of done anything in the world for her." he said with such a smile of content on his face.

"So what happened?" she asks with a serious look on her face.

"Well your mother and I were only together six months when we got married, and three months later we found out we were pregnant with you." he said staring at her with some much love in his eyes.

"It wasn't much longer after that, that your mum became sick, at first we thought it was pregnancy sickness, but when we went to the doctors they told us she had stage four leukemia. The doctor told us that if she didn't have treatment she would be dead in the next six months, but if she took treatment she would lose you. Your mother was so in love with you even though she was only a few weeks pregnant at the time, she decided she would give you a chance even though the doctors didn't give you a high survival rate." he says with a cracking in his voice turning away for a second so she wouldn't see him cry.

"Mum died because of me?" she says with tears in her eyes.

"No, no your mum dies because she was stubborn and loved you so much she would do anything for you." he said grabbing her close to his heart and holding her for just a second.

"Wait I thought the doctors said she only had six months?" she asks with a puzzled look on her face.

"Your mum was the most stubborn, strong and selfless person I had ever met, she refused to go before you were here, she said she wanted to just see your face and to touch your beautiful skin just once. Every day she grew weaker to the point she couldn't stay at home any more. Your mother lasted eight more months before... Before she couldn't hold on any longer." he starts to cry like she had never seen her father cry before. He had such pain on his face as if he had to watch her die all over again.

"She used all her last strength to give birth to you, she held you and just laughed, she said your were the best and most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The one thing she said to me was to give you this on your eighteenth birthday." he passes her a letter.

In side untold:

My dearest baby girl, I'm sorry I couldn't be there on all your birthdays, but there is one thing I can give you. Three life tips I learnt the hard way and I hope you use.

One- never get a perm, just trust me it does not look good on anyone.

Two- torture you partner as much as possible, if he stands it and stays, then he is there for life and can handle anything with you. Plus its really fun.

Three- don't ever let anyone tell you you can't do it, or you can't make it, your as strong as your weakest moment, never give in till you can't fight any longer.

And remember I will always be there when ever you need me just look in the mirror and you will see me.

She stares at the page with tears running down her face uncontrollably.

"Your mother was an amazing woman, she gave me so much, I love her and miss her everyday. But I wouldn't trade you for the world." he stares at her with such love in his eyes, grabbing her and hugging her so gently.

"I want to give you something." he says handing her something in a box with a word written on it. "Samantha"

She opens the box to find a piece of paper at the bottom of it and on top was a picture of a woman.

"Thats your mother the day we met, she looks just like you." he says putting his hand on her face.

She grabs the piece of paper and opens it, with a smile on her face she says, " It's mums birth certificate. Her name was Samantha?" she looks up to see her father staring at her like she was some one he hadn't seen in a long time.

"I named you after your mother, your have the same strength, beauty and stubbornness she had, and I know that your mum would be so proud of you." he says to her crying but smiling at the same time.

"You look so much like her, more and more every day." he says with tears rolling down her face.

"I wish I could of got to know her like you did dad." she says with tears in her pure ocean blue eyes.

"When ever you feel like hearing about your mother I will tell you, there are so many stories I could tell you, a lot about her stubbornness but all great. Your mum would of loved to be here to see you go off, I know she is here watching you now and I know she is as proud of you, as much as I am." he says hugging her with such passion and not being able to break the bond.

"Now you can take your mum with you, but be careful that's the only picture I, you have of her." he says smiling.

"Now go before it gets to mushy." she says with a smirk on his face. She walks out the door.

"I love you Samantha, I will always love you." not being able to move his feet he looks off into the distance and sees a figure. It's her mother smiling at her go off saying what he thinks is "I'm so proud of you" the figure looks over at him and walks off into the distance turning just to say one thing, "I love you too, see you soon I promise." then she turns back and walks off back into what seems to be a light. He mummers "This time I will come to you." he laughs and just stands there smiling waiting for the day he would see her again.
