Temptations Of The Mist (ticci toby x reader)

chapter 6

                       Me and toby decided to go with scary movies one was winchester,an older one called rose red witch had 2 dvds with it, and one that was more of a comedy called haunted house. after we got the movies me and toby went to find lyra, witch we were successful in, but we found her with Natalie Oulette, a girl in like 3 of my classes, she had a boyfriend named chris, but she never seemed satisfied with what she had. she flirted with everyone in sight, let me rephrase that, every guy in sight. and if any other girl came close to the guy she was in the process of flirting with, she would fight, bullie, or just down right ruin their reputation. but she has a rough home life, i know that that's not an excuse to what she does to people but i just think she has no other way of letting out her emotions. i just hope i don't get directed to me. 

                     Me and toby approached lyra and natalie well i more less hid behind toby. he seemed to know her. i thought it was kinda odd but i didnt mind it i just kinda thought that lyra and natalie are friends. "hey natalie!" toby said as he approached closer  to them " we got the movies. i th-think you'll like them~" he said kind of singing the end to lyra "i swear if you guys got scary movies i will attack you both!" lyra said moving colcer to both of us "rose, what movies did you guys get?" the mention of my name picked natalie's curiosity "whos rose?" i came out of hiding and waved at natalie "oh, your rose your in some of my classes aren't you?" Natalie said kina circling me "umm.. yeah im in your history, math, and english class." i said scratching the back of my neck nervously. "yeah you always sit in the back of the class, when you think of it its kinda ironic, your like one of the smartest kids and yet you barly have any friends." she said slightly  getting in my face  like she was trying to intimidate me, and honestly it was working.

                              i tried not to look intimidated but i dont think it was working, and she could tell too. "what's wrong rose?" natalie said getting in my face evenmore. honestly this was an embarrassing situation. and she knew it, i looked over at lyra with a panicked look, begging her to help me in anyway she could. "Natalie stop," lyra said pushing her off of me "that's not nice, leave her alone." she continued with a stern voice like a mother would use to get her kids to stop fighting. lyra continued to push natalie off of me when i felt my phone vibrate again in my back pocket. this was perfect timing for me, the best excuse it was probably my mom again, so i waited till Natalie was out of my face enough for me to check my phone and but i was wrong it wasn't my mom, it was evelyn and she was full on spamming me.

                        by the time i opened it there was 36 text total 

E: rose fucking answer me 

R: i right here you know i have, i dont know, a life!

E: have you talk to your mom?

R: its like 8:30 so not really, why?

E: you need to go home right now rose, i think you'll want to 

R: why? 

E: that's something for you mom to explain not me, now you need to get home

                            i dont know why but this  scared me. i looked up to lyra "is there something wrong?" she asked with a concerned face  "i need to call my mom, i'll- i'll be right back." i said running off to a different part of the store. i looked through my contacts shaking. i was having a panic attack, knew that but i had to know what was going on. i pressed the call button and waited and waited only for it to go to voicemail. this scared me even more cause my mom always picked up no matter what was going on. 

                           i ran straight back to lyra, toby and natalie a mess. by this point i has having a full scale panic attack, it felt like i couldn't breath, and because of this i could barely get any words out and i was cry hysterically. i was just a mess. i was walking up to the group when toby turned around "rose? are you ok?! what ha-happened?" toby ran up to me and grabbed my arm "rose what happened?" lyra asked as she pushed toby away from me "i- i nee-ed to g-go home,"  i said through hiccupped sobs. "she's having a panic attack lyra." toby stated as he pushed lyra out of the way so he could look at me "you need to bre-breath ok. just take de-eep breat-ths ." i tried to follow his instructions but it was hard then we made our way to the car 

                                we started to make our way to the car, abandoning natalie in the store. toby keep his arm securely wrapped around my waist as we made our way through the parking lot, we made it to the car and he sat in the back seat of the car with me. i calmed down and gave directions to my house. we drove for about 10 minutes and stopped at a gas station scene lyra was almost out of gas.

                                lyra went and paid for the gas as me and toby stayed in the car" are you sure your ok rose?" i looked over at toby and nodded. he looked at me with a soft look and gave me a hug, making a blush creep on my face. i tried to ignore it. he let go of me abruptly and threw himself in between the two front seats. "i think we need so-some music" he said looking back at me giving me a cheese grin that slightly made me giggle. he sat back in the seat and started singing a song that was on. he sometimes kicked the seat in front of him or stuttered because of his unexpected twitches. i wanted to ask him about why he twitches but i think it would be better i asked him on another time. he seemed to be having fun i didnt want to ruin the mood by asking him a serious topic. i decided to look at my phone to see if i got any more messages and i couldn't help but to notice the time. 9:46. i could have sworn that it was earlier than that. 

                              lyra came out of the gas store holding a bag. she threw the bag into the front seat and started to pump the gas. toby kept making really cheesy jokes, like the ones dads would make. and yet they seemed to make me laugh no matter how bad they were. lyra got in the car and started to dig threw the bag and pulled out three waters and handed me and toby one. then pulled out a bag of popcorn.

ok im going to end it there cause.... why not, ok? 

but i posted a chapter two weeks ago but it only posted on quotev. so all you on wattpad im sorry. but yeah i would also like to point out im really happy with how this book is going so far and i would like to thank you all for your support.
