Chapter 1

"hey mezo-kun I have the books you requested" squealed a very cute, short, long black haired, big amber doe eyed, quirkless girl who is incredibly shy and bashful that wants to go to med school to become a nurse and also always manages to smell like fresh cut papaya and melon And that's just the beginning of what I learned about her she truly is amazing
" I can't wait for you to read this book it has such beautiful poetry about life and longing it's amazing you'll just fall in love especially if you're sitting in grass somewhere on a sunny day " She gushed holding the book to her chest with a closed eye closed mouth smile watching her smile makes my chest warm I've gotten to know her over the past few months and she's gotten to know me as well though the books we recommend and swap she's sweet supportive kind and not to mention very cute like a trusting baby rabbit but also has a small side of some thing else I never seem to catch
"I'm sure I'll enjoy it, if you liked it " I mumbled the last part unintentionally
"What was that Mezo-kun" she tilted her head ever so slightly with a small genuine smile her messy stringy bun flopped too as her glasses slipped down her nose some
"I-I- was just" I never stumble over words but something about her makes me nervous
Just then my stomach rumbled and she laughed, her laugh was a soft scrunch of her vocal chords and a pale blue nailed hand over her mouth and nose to hide the crinkles around her nose but she can't cover the ones in the outer corners of her eyes
" Well I guess my stomach answered for me" I tried to laugh it off the embarrassing slip up statement from moments ago her eyes went a little wide as she looked at the clock
"oh god I forgot to clock out for lunch" she yelped and stumbled as she tried to get off of the stool behind the counter I couldn't help but laugh then she looked at me with a blush across her face and then it transferred to my cheeks
"Ar-are you alright Mis L/n-Chan" I stepped forward but she just laughed and brushed off her sweater that was 3 sizes to big for her making her look even smaller and more fragile than she already was, compared to me she's the young princess and I'm the monster that she should fear
"No mezo-kun you're always trying to help me just like with the books on the top shelf " she laughed and went to the back I wondered if I should ask her to lunch? Would she even want to go with me? Maybe I shouldn't ask. If I do where should we go maybe a nice sweet shop or maybe get some bbq?
"Mezo-kun?" a small warm hand touches my bear arm I looked down to see deep blush on her face as She intently looking over my arms
" every time I see you you get even bigger and stronger that hero school you go to is amazing" she beamed up at me
"Well yeah I guess if you think so L/n-Chan" I flexed my arm and she flinched with a small hop backwards
"sorry L/n-Chan I didn't mean to scare you" I relaxed my arm and she took a half step to me and looked up still a little scared so I had put my hand out to her and she slowly, gently slipped her hand in to mine her skin made just enough contact to send a tingling sensation up through my fingers, across my hand,  up my arm and down to my spine into my toes she was truly the softest thing I have ever touched when her hand was finally in mine it looked so small  I looked at her to see her blushing I wanted to kiss her so bad but it's would have killed her of fright no doubt and there's no possibility she could feel the same about me when she started giggling and my heart sank to the middle of the earth how badly I wish for our lips to dance together did I say that out loud I asked myself
"Mezo-kun you need to eat your stomach is growling very angrily now It might want to eat me" she laughed and she was so adorable I blushed without realizing it and she reached up and placed the back of her hand on my neck probably because she couldn't reach my forehead and she looked at me worried
"stay right here mezo-kun let me go get my first aid kit it has a thermometer and some candy" I close my hand around hers and she looks at me red as wine but still worried I needed to stop her because it wasn't A little blood sugar problem it was that she was so beautiful I couldn't control my heart rate but how do I tell her, distract her I screamed to my ape of a self
"Well I was worried about asking you if you wanted to eat with me I don't know anything about any of the restaurants around here because I normally pack my lunch and eat at the park so I didn't want to seem ignorant of the area" I put my on hand on the back of my neck and turned my head she couldn't see the blush that Crept back up on my face which was Lucky covered by my mask
"Oh mezo-kun your so sweet where or what do you want to eat?" She did one of those small head tilts again she was so cute I could steal her away and keep her on a podium
"Anything you want I'm not really picky" I said looking down at her small face she thought for a moment and grabbed my hand and I couldn't help but love the feeling of her small fame trying to pull me away somewhere " where are we going?"
"It's a surprise mezo-kun I hope you don't mind a bit of people though and loud areas and really bright lights" she beamed and locked the book shop up and went to take my hand again but pulled her hand back and started walking looking at the ground so I decided to tell her I knew where we were going " I think I know where we are going" and she quickly looked at me and I leaned down over her form slightly while she looked me dead in the eye as to say that I didn't know anything about where we where going "I believe we're going to the fair that opened a few years ago yes?" Her eyes looked so sad and defeated it was unbearable and I caused her to look and probably feel so sad " how about I buy some sweets when we get there" she eyed me for a moment and said " w-win me a st-stuffed prize s-so I can have it f-forever" she blushed so deeply I would win every single prize at the fair for her 
"I'll win you whatever you want" she looked at me with such surprise in her eyes and everything slowed down as she looked off to the side and ran, my hand reached out to grab her arm but my hand was to slow she slipped through my grasp for a small girl she was unbelievably fast
"Hey leave those kids alone !" She screamed as her feet hit the pavement with such force I almost felt the world shake under she small stature a man dropped two kids into on coming traffic and took off she went to pick them up when cars came so fast she didn't have any way or time to do anything she grabbed them knelt down and turned her back to the On coming traffic trying to use her body as a shield and just before the car made contact with her body huge translucent blue crystal like things slipped out from between her shoulders blades and the car was lifted maybe 30 feet into the air and ripped to shreds the kids slowly stepped back out of her grasp, her arms fell to her sides and then her head tilted down the hair that was lose around her face fell in front of her eyes casting Long Shadows over her small features her whole body was pulled down  to the road by gravity not moving I tried to run to her but my legs they failed me my feet seem to be casted in cement my body felt numb except a unstoppable uncontrollable pain in my chest bringing me to my knees as Rivers were formed on my cheeks
