It was early morning, the woman I called mother had left me in this tree. So, as a good child, I remain still. Also, I would rather not fall and die. I hope that Ita-kun finds me soon, I don't like being blindfolded.

My mother had told me not to take it off until I found Ita-kun. Unlike many village people would believe, I don't like being punished.

I felt the branch move slightly, I stiffened and sniffed the air. The mystery person chuckled as a wide smile made its way across my face.

"Ita-kun! I knew you would come to find me!" I yelled jumping straight toward him. As I made contact, Ita lost his balance and almost ended up falling out of the tree, luckily he caught us in time.

"How can such a small kitten have so much force?" he chuckled as he steadied us on the tree and made sure I wouldn't fall.

I knew from experience that Ita-kun never shows much emotion around people, only me and Suki-chan... Though, he does limit it around Suki-chan...

"I'm not small, i'm nearly seven!" I stated proudly as he removed my blindfold.

Almost immediately I dug through my pockets trying to find the note I was supposed to give to him.

"Where is Haruka? I warned her about leaving you alone in the forest." He questioned and mumbled the last bit to himself grimly.

I looked up at him, taking in all of his familiar features. From his dark pitch black eyes to his raven hair. I looked down and saw a strange cloak on him, It was black with red clouds. I'd never seen him wear that before...

"She said to give this to you, Will you read it out loud, pretty please? Even the bad parts?" I asked handing him the note. He sighed, but nodded none the less.

I raised my arms up, signaling that I wanted to be picked up, to which he complied and rested me on his hip with one hand on my waist to hold me up.

I wrapped my arms around his neck so that I wouldn't fall and looked at the note he was skimming through.

Seeing his face crinkle in disgust was all I needed to see to know that this note was not even a little bit nice and happy, well not for me anyway.

Ita-kun has always been really protective over me, which I am nothing but thankful for, but, sometimes it gets a bit annoying.

I lightly poked his cheek and pouted.

"Read it to me Ita, you promised." I commanded and smiled cheekily.

He sighed and looked at me with worry filled eyes, to which I stiffened and my smile fell...

"Do you really want to hear this, I think you will be better off if you don't hear..." He questioned and I gulped. Did I want to hear it?

I can live with not knowing... But, that's not who I am, I always give into curiosity.

"Tell me."

Itachi was reluctant, but followed my request nonetheless. He never was one to break promises.
