Chapter 40

Lisa POV

It's already past eleven when I reached the mansion. I got stuck in heavy traffic and while I'm driving I was hoping that Jennie is still waiting for me before she go to sleep. Lately, I've noticed that she also loves to sleep, she's sleeping early at night but she's waking up late. She loves to sleep and to eat since she got pregnant.

After I parked the car I immediately took the food that I bought for Jennie. While walking into the mansion I looke at the second floor of the big house,and that's when I saw ny beautiful wife, standing on the veranda and I knew she is waiting for me.

When I saw her, I immediately smiled and wave the plastic with the food that she requested. She smiled back, but not as big as my smile. She have a force smile while frowning, I know that something is wrong.

Maybe it's her hormones kicking in again. I thought.

I just shrugged my shoulders and continued walking my way in.

When I enter the mansion I saw the maids and handed her the food to reheat it and give it to Jennie upstairs. I don't want her to go down, it's already late so it's better for us to eat dinner in the our room.

It was a lonng drive and it was indeed tiring but when I saw Jennie seating like a goddess in the couch just a few steps away from our bed and wearing her red flimsy night gown I was instantly felt recharge.

I remember the night that I saw her also wearing the same clothes and sitting on the same couch. I didn't do anything then even if I wanted her so badly, because we are not in good terms that time. And now it feels like a déjà vu and I should grab my chance now for I'm lucky because opportunity doesn't knock twice.

I put down my hand bag and smiled sweetly to my lovely wife.

I leaned closer to give her a kiss but them she quickly turned her face to the opposit direction, so instead of giving her a real kiss my lips landed on her cheeks.

I looked at her and noticed that she's wearing her serious face.

Here we go again.Patience Lisa,patience. It's the hormones, it's not her.

I sigh. "Ok, what did I do this time? I bought the pad thai you wanted. I just give it to the maids to reheat it. Do you want something else? Tell me, I will buy it for you now. Just don't give me a serious face."

She just looked at me and stood up. She walk going to the bed.

"Jennie..." I grab her arm to stop her.

"What?" She said violently then remove my hand to her arm.

"Wait, do we have a problem? What did I do?"

She furiously turned to me.

"You're asking me what have you done?" She glared at me. "God, Lisa I was calling you the whole time because I'm so dead worried about you, because It's too late but your still not here. But unfortunately, your goddamn cellphone was unattended! And when I dialed your number again, oh surprisingly it was off already. Why, did you turned it off? So no one can disturb you? Or did she turned it off herself? You didn't think about your wife that is waiting for you. And to think that I'm pregnant. Your cheating on me, you bitch!"

"Wait, hold on. I don't get it. What are you talking about?" I really don't have any idea what shems throwing on me.

"Do you honestly think I would fall for that innocent act of yours?" She snap.

"Wifey--"

"Don't wifey me, you--- you---" She's running out of words and I can see how frustrated she is.
