"Heey Dreamer... well off to Tennessee we go!" Aleyah says to her horse with her halter and lead rope in hand. She puts the halter on and they head to the trailor. After about fifteen minutes of coaxing Dreamer to get into the trailor, he finally trudges in.
"Ugh Dreamer, i forgot you hated going in the trialor..." Aleyah says sitting on the tire of the truck, wiping the sweat off her forehead. Her mom drives the trailor back home with her in the front seat.
"Mom i was serious about what i said yesterday. Can you seriously have the hospital call you every other day or something i dont even know, i just want updates about her." Aleyah blurts out to her mother.
"Okay, ill find out what i can do sweetie." The mother replies to her daughter.
"Thanks mom."
"Yeah no problem."
They drive the rest of the way home in silence. When they get home, they have to drive to Tennessee, from California, San Diego to be exact. They had already packed their bags even. Aleyah asks to stop at the hospital once more, because she claims she forgot something in Amber's room. Her parents agree, and they stop at the hospital.

Aleyah knows she doesn't have much time, so she quickly reads the note she is planning to leave on Amber's bedside table. She mouths it to herself, and just as she is finished, she realizes that she is at Amber's room. She is about to open the door, but she hears Amber's mother talking to the doctor.
"Ms. Grahm, her condition is getting worse, we dont know how much longer she is going to last." The doctor says to Amber'smother.
"There has to be something you can do, we're talking about my daughter here." She replies back trying to stay calm but lets loose a little.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Grahm, i just don't know how much we can do anymore." The doctor replies.

Aleyah stumbles back in bafflement. Her best friend was doing worse, and she couldnt do anything about it. She hears the door start to open and she sees the doctor and Amber's mother exit the hospital room. She hides behind the corner, and then slips into Amber's temporary sleeping place. She doesn't know when the doctor and Amber's mom will come back in, so she doesn't waste time. Aleyah slips the piece of paper into the back of the picture's frame. She then quickly runs back out to the car.

"Was it there?" Aleyah's father asks.
"No, i guess i must've packed it, oh well." Aleyah responds.
"Well then, off to Tennessee we go!" Mr. Jones says with excitement.
'Goodbye.' Aleyah thinks to herself, trying her best friend telepathy.
