Just like any other plain day, Jungkook left school about two hours later after school. He would work on all of his homework at the library instead of doing it at the small cramped space his mother and he liked to call home.

When nearing his so-called home, his eyes caught a suspicious figure pacing in front of the 'gate' of his house. He could see the man being infuriated just by looking at him. Hesitantly he approached the man, "Hello, may I ask who you're looking for?" The boy questioned, with a little crack in between his meek words. The man looked at the boy, then snarled, "Huh, you must be that wench's dirty son, like mother like son!" he exclaimed.

Jungkook's teeth started gritting against the ones below while his jaw tightened. This man had the fucking nerve to call his innocent mother a wench! Who does he think he is, he seemed as if he was in his early thirties, his mother was way past that age, ever heard of 'respect your elders'?

The boy sarcastically thought.

"I'd rather find it easier if you could be more specific of the person you're waiting for, perhaps their name?" He tried to remain calm as possible as he could, he really did. The man threw a scoff right at his face, "I couldn't care less about your fucking names. I just came to warn you that if you're going to live in my property a little longer, pay the fucking rent you filthy fuckers!" The man screeched at him.

So. This man was the landlord of their home? He had never, ever, felt so disgusted living in that house before. There's a first time for everything. The boy mumbled a small "Sorry, we'll send you the money as soon as possible," With that, he hurried into the tiny house.

"I need a shower... school was exhausting enough, that man tiered me out really bad." muttering to himself, the teenager made his way to his next task in mind.

After the dramatic encounter with that man I've been thinking, mother had rarely been home when I was awake, it started about a month ago. Now we couldn't even afford simple necessity items. Did mother lose her previous job?

As the worried son I am, I made my way to my mother's private portion of the small home. Maybe she was home today,

Knock

Another knock

Third times a charm, knock.

Maybe she's asleep.

I opened her door to her room to see papers cluttered everywhere, but mother wasn't there. It varies from random scribbles to job vacancy leaflets to bills and red notices. What the hell. I grabbed the bills and the notice, we couldn't even afford to pay for the electric bills? We always have a small due amount, yet not even that?

Dropping them, I reached for job vacancy leaflets. Looking through them, every one of them either didn't reach the age requirements or the pay was too low for I and mother. Then one caught my eye, it had both barriers broken, they had a decent amount of payment and they only hire high school and college students. Sounds sketchy, but it was new and no one would want to ruin their reputation at the very start.

I folded the paper, found a few cents that were lying around and ran to the nearest telephone box. You probably guessed it, cellphones and their bills were too expensive for us. Taking out the paper I scanned the number before putting in a necessary amount of money so I can make my call, after about three rings, there was a click, "Good evening, this is Mang Café, how can I be of help to you?" a kind, soft voice spoke from the other side of the line.
