7: Who's the real 'living being'?

"Excuse me. What's going on?" You stood in front of Taehyung, looking directly at the yelling couple whose faces told that they were even ready to murder.

"Ms. don't come between us. This animal deserves it." The man growled.

You were shocked by the blunt words he used against your hybrid who cowered behind you, his ears drooping and showing only the golden circular patch. "Who are you calling an animal?"

"The one behind you."

"Think before you speak. That's my hybrid."

As if all of their attention turned to you instead of Taehyung, they started accusing you for apparently no reason. What's wrong with people?

"Why doesn't he have a collar then? Anyway just keep your animal locked somewhere."

"How can you let him wander off like this without your guidance?"

"Things like them shouldn't be in public."

Something snapped in you, anger filled your body hearing their cruel words. You shouted, "Shut the hell up! What the hell are you talking about?"

Suddenly they silenced their running mouths when they saw how infuriated you were. Actually, a lot of people gathered around you, wanting to see the source of yelling. You gave no attention to them and turned your head to see the frightened boy.

"Are you okay?" He nodded his head. "Tell me. What happened?" He opened his mouth but got interrupted by the woman. "Listen miss-". "No you listen. Shut up while I'm still being respectful." You grumbled totally irritated.

Taking Taehyung's trembling hands in yours, you gently asked, "Tell me Taehyung."

"I was just waiting for you here when I saw a girl alone. She was crying. I asked her about it and she said she lost her parents in the mall. So I just started to help her find them but when they saw me with her-"

"He touched my daughter. How dare this filthy animal-"

"For the millionth time he's not an animal! He's a hyrid. Why can't you get this inside your thick brain? These hybrids are not a threat to human neither they are lower than us in any way. They are also living beings. They also have a heart and you don't have any idea how your words hurt my hybrid. What did he even do wrong?"

"Miss keep your 'living beings with heart' to yourself. I don't want them near my family." The man said in a lower tone this time.

You chuckled sarcastically, "When's this society going to stop being so narrow minded? I'm so sick of this. Come on Taehyung, let's go. Someone so pure like you don't belong among such dirty people." You led him outside as you shot a dirty glare at them.

When you got inside the car, you were silent. Too much silent. Taehyung was becoming uneasy with every growing minute. You were just sitting there, looking God knows where.

Taehyung hesitated before saying, "Noona?"

As if his voice brought you to reality. A tear rolled on your cheek followed by many. Taehyung panicked seeing your state and became more and more confused when you started crying pathetically.

"Y/n?"

You hugged him tightly to you, sobbing on his shoulder, your honey and roses scent invading his nose much more than they did every time you were around him. "I'm so sorry Taehyung. I should've been with you. This wouldn't have happened if I didn't leave you alone. I'm so sorry they treated you like that."
