To say that dinner was awkward would be the understatement of the year. Michael was being extra and Landon looked well like Landon looks. Niamha walked into her room and peeled off her clothes. She went over to her bed and laid down. She stared out the window and thinking about what happened between her and Landon before Michael showed up. She drifted off to sleep with a small smile on her face.
"TT!! TT!! Wake up!" Niamha rolled over and opened one of her eyes. She looked at her niece that was smiling and jumping up and down on her bed. Niamha sighed and sat up. She stretched and got out of the bed.
"Alright Vannah. Give me five minutes and I will be down in a minute." She told her niece as she walked over towards her bathroom.
"Okay." She saw her niece scamper out of the room, before she walked into the bathroom. After she freshened up she put on some dance shorts and a tank with her fuzzy socks and headed downstairs. When she walked into the living room she saw her brother and Justine sitting down on the coach watching Avannah stare at the tree ready to attack the presents under it. She went and took a seat next to them and watched as Avannah tore open present after present. When she was done Justine and Tate exchanged their gifts. Niamha watched as her niece played with her toys and her parents watched her with a loving smile. She felt a wave of guilt and sadness come over her as she thought about her mother, father and baby brother. She sighed as she looked around and noticed that Justine and her brother were looking at her. She gave them a sad smile and got up getting ready to head into her room.
"Niamha. Wait a minute." She paused at the door way before looking back at her brother and saw that he was helping Justine get up off the couch before heading to where she was standing. She looked at them confused as she saw that they wore matching kool aid smiles. She raised her eyebrow at them waiting for one of them to speak.
"You haven't opened your present yet." She looked at them curiously before letting her eyes wander down to the box Tate was holding in his open hand. She reached out and grabbed the box. She took on more look at them then opened the box. She saw the silver key laying in the box with a bow tied around it. She looked at the key and then back to her brother and Justine.
"What's this?"
"A key." She looked at her brother with a bored expression.
"No, stuff. What's it to?" she questioned.
"A house."
"A house?" she looked from her brother to Justine then back to her brother.
"Yes."
"Whose house?"
"Your house."
Niamha gasped and blinked a couple of times, she was completely shocked. She looked at the two of them trying to come up with the most appropriate response.
"My house?"
"Yes. Your house."
"Oh my GOD! No way!!" Niamha screamed at the top of her lungs. She bounced up and down like her niece did every time she opened a new gift then went into hug her brother and Justine. When she pulled back she looked over at them then back to the key. She smiled as she went back in to give them another hug.
"Thank you guys so much!"
"You're welcome. You can move in whenever you want, but I would prefer it be after graduation."
"Gotcha." They three of them walked into the kitchen and had a Christmas breakfast. After joking and laughing with them Niamha walked upstairs and got dressed to head out to Michael's. She put on her white fitted long sleeve shirt, navy blue skinnies and brown suede knee-high boots. After getting dressed and finishing her hair and make-up she headed out.
