Brightheart, ah yes, the pitiful she who regained her confidence beautifully. But was it really all that beautiful?
Brightheart, firstly, seems to have completely recovered emotionally from Dangerous Path to Darkest Hour. This is extremely unlikely for someone with injuries so serve. Especially to the facial area. And for cats to already by settled with her new look? In Darkest Hour we receive no odd reactions towards Brightheart; which is odd, no doubt.
"But Moon! We don't get her pov!" You May argue. Well, look at Brairlight, we aren't in her POV, but we manage to see her recovery through out several books. As well, Fireheart, when not involved in drama, is usually near Cloudtail, who's usually near Brightheart. And even then, we only get a few cuddling scenes and hinting that they'll be mates.
And from then on, Brightheart seemingly has no issues whatsoever. Which I doubt, having a wound like that would garner a lot of attention, and it would also attract infection most likely. But even from a medicine cat's POV in the second to sixth arch, we see absolutely nothing.
In conclusion, Brightheart is a lazily written character, that would most likely become better with more development. Though, chances are it's too late.
