Chapter 9

Previously on You Against The World:

You both chuckled softly but your smile fell when (Y/C/N) hissed in pain. You sighed and looked them dead in the eye. "So, what do you choose."

They hesitated but before they could answer, a voice cut them off.

"What if they don't have to?"

You whipped your head around, raising your fist, your hand glowing with fire, ready to attack.

Standing behind you was a man in all black with an eye patch. You looked at him with confusion. "Are you a pirate or something?"

"No."

"Well, what do you want?" Still not lowering your fist.

"We want to help you and your little friend behind you."

"We? Whose we?"

"My team and I."

"Why would I ever come with you?"

"Well, your friends came with us nicely."

Your breathe caught in your throat. You stood up and your whole body ignited. "Where are they?"

"You mean your little friends? They're back at the tower. So if you ever want to see them again, you're gonna have to come with me."

You became more frustrated, resulting in your flames rising and growing hotter. Fury looked impressed but he still didn't back down. "So, (Y/N), what do you say?"

"I say-"

You were interrupted by a weak voice. "(Y/N)." You turned and extinguished your flames, kneeling down. You had completely forgotten that (Y/C/N) was dying. Their cheeks were pale and they were falling in and out consciousness. "There's a jet outside with a medical staff that could patch up your friend. But only if you come with us."

You looked at (Y/C/N)'s knee and you knew if you didn't get them help now, they would die. And it would be your fault. You sighed. "Fine, I'll come with you."

"Perfect-"

"But there are two conditions. You help me find my brother and if there are any consequences for my actions, you leave my friends out of it. Deal?"

"Deal. Now lets not waste anymore time and get your friend to the jet."

You stood up only to nearly collapse from the pain in your leg. You had completely forgotten about the bullet in your thigh.

"Are you able to stand?" The man asked you.

"I'm fine." You said, ignoring all the pain. You touched (Y/C/N)'s arm, causing them to float. You grabbed them by their uninjured leg and followed him out of the house and into the jet, pulling (Y/C/N) like a balloon.

When you got in the jet, you noticed that your parent's bodies laying on the seats of the jet. You felt tears form in your eyes. You looked away before your emotions could over take you. Doctors rushed up to you with a rolling table. You had them hold (Y/C/N) down to the table while you touched your fingers together, causing the (Y/C/N) to stop floating. The doctors rolled away (Y/C/N) while you went to go lay down on one of the other tables. You were almost asleep when you heard someone approach you. "Hello, my name is Dr. Helen Cho. Do you mind if I take a look at your leg?" 

You opened one eye to look up at the doctor. "Nope."

"Okay then. I'm gonna need you to roll up your pant leg."

You grunted and sat up. You turned your pointer finger into a blade and cut open your jeans where the bullet was. Unsurprisingly, your skin had already healed. But the bullet was still in there.

Dr. Cho looked at you in shock. You shrugged and changed your finger back and laid back down. "Your wound has seemed to already healed. Did something happen?"

"I got shot in the leg and I have enhanced healing. My leg is healed but the bullet is still in there. I would use my powers to take it out but I'm too tired."

"Well in order for me to take out the bullet, I have to put you under. Is that okay?"

"Sure. I've never been put under before and I'm not even sure if that stuff is strong enough."

"Don't worry, I'll be using the injection we use to put super soldiers under. If that stuff doesn't work, I don't know what will."

You chuckled softly, closing your eyes again. You felt Dr. Cho rub some rubbing alcohol on your arm before you felt a small prick. Then, everything went black.

Hey Guys! It's spring break and I'll try and update some more this week. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I promise there will be  interaction with the Avengers and more action in the next couple of chapters.
