Chapter 14

Danielle's POV

It's been a couple of days since the incident with Melanie, but I think we've slowly forgotten about it.

She sometimes comes up to me but I just ignore her and walk away, me and Jamie still talk but I've met a couple of others that I can hang around with Yaminah and Sophie.

Yes they were in deed the school nerds but there so cute and kind. They always sit alone and I felt back for them, so I toke it as a chance to make friends.

"Hayes...." I trailed off. I looked around the house and I couldn't find him anywhere.

"Hayes!" I yelled a little louder. There was no response. It was Friday and I had to take Skylynn to school.

"Skylynn?" I said as I walked into her bedroom. She turned around and faced me.

"Yes?"

"Quickly get ready for school, we gotta leave shortly!" I smirked at her.

She nodded her head, then started to get ready. I closed her door quietly, then made my way to Nash's room. I tapped on the door three times and there was no response.

I opened the door to see him still asleep. There was an air horn in his bed side table, so I gradually brang it out and placed it next to his ear.

Without further of thinking, , pushed the button and it sent echo's of the horn all around the house. Nash shot up in seconds, then fell to the floor with a thump.

What was once the sound of the horn filling the air, it was replaced with my idiotic laughter.

"You little bitch, why would you do that to me!" he squealed, unhappily.

"You need to wake up, school starts soon!" I helped him up from the floor. He thanked me, then I left the room, to search for Hayes again.

Once I was outside Hayes room, I knocked on the door and there was no reply, I walked in and he wasn't there.

Where the god damn hell was he?

As I shut Hayes bedroom door, I felt a presence behind me. I turned around and saw a unhappy Hayes.

"Why were you in my room?" he snarled through gritted teeth. "I was looking for you, where have you been?!"

"Somewhere, now can you please move out the way!" he shoved me out of the way then slammed the door in my face once he was inside. I gasped, then stormed towards Skylynn's room.

I swung open the door, and through my self onto her bed.

"Are you okay?" she rushed over towards me, and knelt down. "Do you want to have the day of school?" I asked her.

I know I shouldn't let her have time of school but I can't go out like this. She nodded with a big smile on her face.

"But you have to promise me something?"

"Yes anything?"

"When I call your mom up, I'm gonna say your ill, so you gotta be good!" She nodded her head once again.

Skylynn rushed over to her dressing up box and started pulling out outfits for her to try on.

"Okay well I'm going to ring your mom and say you've been sick!"

I pulled out my iPhone and called Elizabeth up.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

"Hello?"

"Hello Elizabeth it's Danielle!"

"Oh hiya sweetie, is everything alright?"

"Yeah everything's great, it's Skylynn, she has a little temperature, do you think I should keep her of for today?"

Skylynn was praying in the corner, probably hoping her mom would say she could stay home today.

"Certainly, I honestly don't want her going in why she's sick, please tell her I love her and we will see her soon!"

"Of course, well I'll speak to you soon!"

"Okay sweetie bye!"

I ended the call, Skylynn ran over to me and sat by my side. "Sorry sweetie you gotta go in..tomorrow...because today me and you are gonna have so much fun!"

"Yeah girl!" she sassed. I laughed at her try at being sassiness. I left her to get ready, then walked to Nash's room.

I peaked round the corner of his door and saw him naked about to slip his underwear on. Wow.

I crept back out of the room, and down the stairs.

Whilst I was in the kitchen making chocolate chip pancakes for me, Nash and Skylynn. Hayes isn't having any due to his behaviour earlier. I heard a knock on the door.

I turned the heat down as I started walking towards the door.

As I swung it open, I saw a happy looking Sienna.

"Ergh, what do you want?" I groaned.

"I'm here to see Hayes!" she tried to get past me but I wouldn't budge.

"Your not welcome here, so please leave"

"Well if I'm not welcome here, how comes I was invited over by Hayes?" she laughed right in my face.

Rolling my eyes was the only option. I stepped back, then slammed the door in her full caked up face.

I heard her screams at the other end of the door I just ignored it and turnt the radio up in the kitchen.

10 minutes had passed and the pancakes were finally cooked and ready to be eaten. I called Skylynn and Nash downstairs, forgetting Hayes.

"Wow this smells amazing!" Skylynn smiled as she saw the pancakes on the table.

Nash came down next, then once he had seen Hayes walking towards the kitchen, he came up behind me and whispered stuff into my ear.

"I saw you peaking earlier" his warm breath sending sparks through my body.

I could feel my face burning red as I pushed him out the way, to sit at the table.

He really saw me.

Oh.

My.

God.

Embarrassing...

"Where's mine?" Hayes groaned.

"Haha Hayes doesn't get any because he was shouting at Danny earlier!" Skylynn murmured with a mouth full of pancakes.

Hayes rolled his eyes, then walked over to the fruit bowl and grabbed an apple. "Here" I mumbled. "Have mine, I'm not feeling all that hungry!"

I gave him my plate, as I felt tears brimming in my eye lids. I stormed out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

I sat at the end of the corridor watching people on the lake with there jet ski's through the window.

"Are you okay?" I heard a voice say behind me.

To be honest, I couldn't be bothered to speak to anyone right now, so I kept watching out the window and ignoring whoever was behind me.

"Please answer me, I haven't done anything wrong"

I knew at that moment who it was.

"Matthew?" I turn't around and saw indeed it was Matthew Espinosa.

I got up and jumped into his arms, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I yelled in happiness. I loved Matt a lot, he was like my older brother.

"Just coming to see how my sister was!" I laughed a little.

I could tell he knew I had been crying because he looked at me with a worried face.

"What's wrong?"

"I think Hayes is cheating on me..."
