Keep Going

"Dr. Jasmine Santiago, can you teach me at lunch." Jaden pleaded, but enough not to let his pride down. Jasmine strolls through the hallway checking each patient with her head poking through the door. It was just sunrise; everyone was still sleeping soundly in their beds.

"Why don't you go ask Dr. Santiago? He's your guidance." Jasmine hugs her clipboard tight towards her chest, looking around the empty hall.

"I don't want to ask that goblin. Doctor Santiago, are you available at lunch?" Jaden repeated and Jasmine turns around, stopping him in midway with a smile.

"What's the magic word?" Jasmine brushes her side bangs that curled towards her forehead perfectly.

Jaden sighs and took a minute to think of the word, even though he knew what it was. "It starts with a 'P', do you need help?" Jasmine giggles at him taking a deep breath.

"Please? I really want to learn." He entreats, and Jasmine nodded making him jump up in excitement. "Thank you! See you at lunch." He runs the opposite direction making Jasmine smile softly. This kid has a lot of inspiration to learn. Xavier definitely chose a good student she thought.

Xavier just came out of the operation room with Christine writing in her notepad. They walk down the hall of Trauma surgery section, examining their new comers and old patients that have been here long enough. Those are the patients with more problems after their operation and needed more assistance and care. Xavier and Christine walk out to the front desk to hang out in the free time and that's when he thought of someone he really miss...

"Christine, I'm free right now so why don't you go over and intern under Dr. Thompson?" Xavier asks and Christine nodded without further question. He grabs one of the patient's folders that are supposed to be transferred over to the neurosurgery department and walks over there by himself happily. When he arrives at the front door, Xavier straightens his white coat and fixed his hair looking through the window. He smiles cheesily before pushing through the doors slowly, trying to find Jasmine. He looks from left to right and couldn't spot a lady with curly black hair swinging down to her waist, so Xavier went to the front desk.

He didn't even get to ask the question because the nurse looks up at him with a big smile, "are you looking for Dr. Jasmine Santiago?"

Xavier nodded one quick nod and got the directions to where she is which is probably anywhere around this unit. He slowly saunters through the small halls, looking inside patient's room to find nurses and doctors talking quietly.

"You wanna head out to lunch together?" Chase asks with a smile plastered on his pale face. He has liked Jasmine since the first year of intern up till now when they are doctors.

"No thank you. I have something to do at lunch." Jasmine smiles politely, she bit her bottom lip nervously and turns around, leaning on the white wall with one leg on the wall and the other right next to it on the tiled floor.

Xavier walks quickly when he heard the most familiar voice. It echoed through the hall and replayed inside his brain. He walks straight up to Jasmine happily and snaked an arm around her waist until he saw the guy trying to ask her out to lunch. "She has lunch with me." Xavier tightened his jaw while Jasmine stood still inside Xavier's arms. She felt so comfortable and wanted to stay like this forever.

"You must be?" Chase recognized the guy in front of him. It was that guy that came to the little girls' brain operation.

"Dr. Santiago. Call me Xavier." Xavier didn't want to waste a single minute with this Casanova. He wanted to leave right away, because his blood was at the temperature of boiling bubbles. His jaw tightened firmly with anger as Chase looks at Jasmine up and down with a smirk. Jasmine felt uneasy and tried ro avoid eyecontact with Chase. If xavier wasnt here then his eyes would be poked out a century ago.
