Finding a baby

MISORA'S POV:

I was walking back to the bar with Tomura cause Dabi and Toga didn't want to, so that pissed off me and Tomura.

I looked down an alleyway when something caught my eye. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, which resulted in Tomura walking into me.

"Why did you stop Otsūka?"

I grabbed his cheeks with my hand and turned his head towards the direction of the object.

We both walked towards it, only to realize that something was in the blanket covered cardboard box. I learned down and removed the blanket only to find out that there was a baby inside.

The baby had black hair with green tips and little freckles dotted across its face.

"Who would leave a baby out here?" I looked at Tomura and shrugged my shoulders. I picked the baby and placed them carefully in my arms.

"Whoever left them out here wanted this baby dead. Its body temperature is cold and it has a faint pulse, barely felt it when I checked."

We eventually decided to take the infant to the bar. I forced Shigaraki to carry all the groceries while I held the infant.

When we got back to the bar I realized that it was a little too quiet. I didn't want to wake up the sleeping infant so I used the Green to release an odorous fume.

It worked like a charm. Toga and Dabi came out covering their mouth's, coughing, while Kurogiri teleported behind the bar counter.

I cleared my throat and they all turned their heads towards my direction. They all saw me holding an infant in my arms, and flooded me with questions.

"Miso-chan! Why is there an baby in your arms?" Toga asked with that creepy smile plastered on her face.

"Did you have a secret child wi-" I cut off.

"Don't you dare finish that sentence," I said with venom in my voice. "If you will give me a chance to explain I will."

They all say down on the bar stool.

"Thank you. When me and Shigaraki was heading back here I saw an a person place a cardboard box in an alleyway, so we went to go see what it was and when I opened it we saw this baby and decided to take them in."

"Misora, you are only 16 years old, I don't think that you're capable of handling the responsibilities of being a parent." Said Kurogi.

I was going say something, but I was cut off by my father on the screen, who was secretly listening to the conversation.

"Nonsense, I think that this is the perfect opportunity for us to create the new era."

I felt the baby move in my arms, so I looked down to see it opened its eyes. I really want to know the gender of this beautiful child. So I asked Tomura to do a gender check on the child, he complied and did as told. He returned a few minutes later and said the three magic words.

"It's a boy."

I think I heard Dabi sigh in relief. I gently took the child out of Tomura's arms, made a chair for me to sit down so it would be comfortable for both me and the baby. He slowly fell asleep in my arms, which made me smile.

Dabi came behind me and looked curiously at the small bean. Toga sat down in front of me with her legs crossed.

"So what are you gonna name him Miso-Chan?"

I took a long moment to think of a name, when the perfect name came into mind.

"How about Izuku. How does that sound to you guys?"

The all nodded in agreement.

"But what about his last name, he should have one."

Toga was right, he can't just go around with people calling him by his first name only.

"How about I give him your last name Tomura?"

Dabi looked at me with a puzzled face, "How come he gets to have his last name?"

We all looked at him, "Do we really need to answer that?"

"Point made."

"So it's settled. His name is Izuku Shigaraki. I will be his mother, and Tomura will be his father. Dabi and Kuro are his uncles, Toga is his aunt, and Father is the grandfather."

I can tell that this is the start of something wonderful.
