The fire crackled as the smell of smoke overwhelmed her. Fear crept down her spine. “Anybody! P-please-" she cried out. The fire burned at her lungs as it threatened to take her life.

The elf coughed smoke filling her lungs and vision, as she stumbled and collapsed into a tree. Embers gnawed at her feet. She clutched the egg close to her chest.

She must get it to safety. It was her duty, her reputation, life depended on the egg. If she could just run, run far away from the fire she would make it to safety. The elf lady, got up and stumbled as she ran.

She ran, ran, and ran. Eventually the roaring of the fire fell behind her. She wandered into the nearby town. The egg, red as fire, she clutched. Ashä found the nearest inn.

The urtük inn. Also known as the inn where the most dangerous criminals called home. Ashä entered the inn. Her white dress, her once pale, beautiful face now covered with smoke and Ash.

As Ashä entered immediately the other men, started hollering, “k’argad gamoiq’ureba ik!" One shouted. Ashä brushed it off.

As Ashä checked out a room, she entered it. She collapsed onto the bed. Her body aching, as she rubbed her callused hands. She spewed curses .

Ashä got up as she set the egg down on the wooden desk in the corner. Hopefully, by sunrise the next day the egg would hatch and out come, a beautiful red dragon. Ashä turned ans collapsed onto the bed, falling into a deep sleep.

A few hours later she woke to screaming and cries of pain. Ashä grabbed her sword as she dashed out of the room. She ran down the stairs. Impossible! The urtük inn, could never be conquered! She thought.

Ashä looked for who was attacking. The crotoks. She ran after a few. She threw a few stabs, a few punches. Ashä looked up to see a crotok run up the stairs to her room. No! Her mind screamed.

Ashä ran after, as she almost tripped up the stairs. She burst through the door. The crotok grinned at her. His partner, drew an arrow at her.

She drew a breath, ready for death to take her.

Ashä felt a sharp pain hit her, as she fell to the ground.

Ashä was dead.
