Introduction:
The Child of Darkness
The sound of the winds is the only thing we here in this dark and desolant world. The air is cold, thin, and empty, and there is no sign of any life. The land is dead, and only lifeless sand is what remains.
But there was life here, like a tiny light that remained on. However it was flickering, faint, dieing slowly, and about to be distinguished.
This life was a child, and this was his world, a world filled with darkness. He walked through this place forever lost, damned, and abandoned.
The child has dark eyes, dark hair, and he wears a dark robe. He's limping as walks. He looks tired and terribly angry, he hesitates to breath. He walks towards the darkness, as if someone or something is luring him.
The child looks dirty like if someone had poured dirt all over him. He has a swollen eye, a cut on his bloody lip, and scratches all over his face, and sweat falls from his face. He holds his left arm with his right hand.
Then from out of the darkness, something hits the child so hard, in his stomach, that it leaves him breathless. Shocked by the impact, the child has his eyes and mouth wide open. He slowly closes his eyes and mouth, and begins to fall back.
Before he hits the ground he receives another hit on his left cheek, making him hit the ground on his face. He rolls himself over, and blood flows from his mouth and nose. The child lies on the ground for a while.
As he lies on the ground he stares into the emptiness of the dark skies, and he begins to think. Now the child looks depressed, for his eyes look heavy with sadness. And he seems lost in his thoughts, for he can not stop from thinking.
Then the child gives a look of anger, he stands up quickly, and continues to walk towards the darkness. But the child stops, he slowly closes his eyes, and grabs his stomach with his right hand. He makes a face of pain mixed with anger.
His head and body are tilted towards the ground, almost making him fall. He tries to ignore the pain, but it's too much for him. Sweat falls from his face, and his hands begin to tremble.
Then the child gives another sudden look of anger. With the hate in his eyes he straightens up and looks forward, for he is determined to keeping going. And he steps forward.
Unfortunately the child was too weak. With his first step he falls to his knees. His upper body continues to fall, but he stops himself with his right arm.
And once again he's breathing hard, but even more heavier than before, and blood continues to fall from his mouth.
Now the child knows that he's weak, and that he can't go on.
The child stares at the ground, and he looks depressed. And he begins to think again, for his thoughts invade his mind. The sadness covered his face.
What was the child thinking of? He thought about his past, he thought about how he got here, to this point. For it was these memories that brought him sadness.
But why was the child following the destruction of the darkness? Only the story of the darkness will reveal this mystery.
The child straightens up, but still on his knees. He begins to get deeply saddened. Then he slowly gets angry, and he balls up his fists and gnashes his teeth. The sadness, the hate, the memories flooded his heart, he tries to hold back his tears, but it was too much for him. And a single tear rolls down his face, and falls to the ground.
Then the child quickly looks up to the sky, and gives a long and loud out cry. He shouts from the top of his lungs, with all that he could. It was a shout filled with hate, sadness, it was a shout that called out for help.
It was heard in the darkness and traveled into the emptiness. It was so loud that it burned his throat.
The child could no longer hold his tears. And so the tears flowed out of his eyes like rivers of fire, for they were filled with his hatred, his sadness, and they came from the depths of his heart.
Then the child wipes his tears off, he lifts up his head, struggles to stand up, but manages. Now standing, and with all the hate in his eyes, he looks towards the darkness.
He ignored the pain of his heart, he ignored the trembling of his legs, he only wanted darkness. The child took one step, but his legs instantly gave up. He fell on his back, his head bounced off the ground, he yelped as his head bounced.
The child looked at the void of the dark skies, and he finally gave up. He laid on the ground accepting his miserable world.
He could only hear the sound of the winds, but deep within his heart he heard something else. He heard the darkness, and the hatred calling him.
They would stand in front of him, staring at him with evil malignant faces. And they said to the child, "Only we are here now, and no one else. You ... belong ... to us now!"
The child hated them, and he hated this place. But this was his home, after all he is The Child of The Darkness.
