Veranika wakes up later than usual, to an unusually warm day. She gets dressed in a long black dress and decides she should go explore and do something fun, it would be a change of pace from her usual activities of homework and sleep. She doent know where she'll go yet, so she packs a bag of food and water and a book of course, and walks out the door. A while behind her fathers house there is a hill, and beyond that a forest. she decides she'll go there, it would be far enough away from her fathers house, that the maids would never find her there, atleast she hoped so. She reaches the top of the hill and without relizing that this side is much much steeper then the side she walked, she falls staight down, Such a fun way to start an adventure huh? She walks carefully into the forest. There doesn't seem to be anything there so she runs a few feet forward. It felt as though the ground had just fallen out from under her, and all around her where these strange things, things she had never seen before, things she thought didn't exist, and soon but almost too soon she hit the floor with a loud thump. Everything went black but she soon came to her senses, but that should be impossible, no? She fell at least a few hundred feet, and she had nothing to show for it. She should be dead or at his doorstep at least. But no she was fine, perfectly fine. she look around, what a strange room she is in, there are doors of different sizes inside these other doors? But what is the real door the biggest door or the smallest? How about the gold door, or the on made of stone? What a headache. There is also a little pond, a pond? But the floor is made of checkered tile, how is there a pond? She can see the bottom, it's no more than 2 and a half feet, but what kind of feet? Of course the kind made of 12 inches. The floor curved to make this pond. And at the bottom? A key. A key to a door, but whitch door? And is this the key? Or where there more keys for more doors, perhaps it wasn't for the door at all, but something else. Maybe the door did not require such key, or maybe they should need more then one key. But just how many keys and doors where there, and in all this time she had now realized, that maybe she was not alone, A few feet infront of her sat 3 birds, what kinds of birds? That she didnt know, But No one did. But before she dealt with the birds, or the doors, and dont forget the key, she needed to figure out all of the other strange things she had seen. Like the strange cat face, but did she really see that? And where was the rest of its body? Well if it has one. Such a strange cat with such a strange face, a smile, it wasn't a very beautiful smile, but it was a smile nonetheless, but just what was that cat smiling about? Did it find her misfortune funny? she looks up, but no hole or cat, just a ceiling such of the kind to fit checkered tile, however it was an unusually tall ceiling, but is the ceiling tall or is it just the walls, none the less she desides she should find her way out. The key. The pond is relatively small, but not small enough to grab that key without getting soaked. Well i don't think that is the biggest of her worries. She slowly reaches for the key, and as she puts her hand into the water she finds it it pleasently warm, unlike the rest of this room, if you could even call it that. At this point she don't even know what she realy sees, maybe she never woke up in the first place, if it was asleap was it a dream or a nightmare, dreams are often ment to be pleasent, but this was not pleasent. Not even a little. But at the same time she wassnt realy scared, for if it was real, maybe she wouldnt have to go back home so soon, as it would be quiet difficult for them to find her now.
