Angie kisses me.

First I'm stumped but then I kiss back. I forget about the summer, about Kevin's lake house. It's just me and her.

She parts from my lips and breathes a smile onto my face, I smile back. She splashes water my way and swims a few feet back. All I can do is trudge where I am, still feeling her lips against mine. Angie gives a small wave before swimming to Olivia, who's been squealing since the first moment.

An arm curls over my neck. " Damn, Daesyn. Never knew you had that in you."

I shove the arm away with a scoff. " Shut up, Kevin."

He swims back before I get the chance to lightly punch him. He laughs. " Okay, okay. I was just about to yell at you that we were about to head inside. But, you know, then that happened." He winks. " I don't blame you though."

I send water towards his way. He laughs and swims away with a wave.

I can't stop smiling.

I take a quick dive underwater to at least refresh in a way. It's cool down here, under the waving surface of the lake. The darkness gives a slight eerieness to the underwater scenery.

I head back up and break through the water and breathe out. There's a slight freeze when I exhale. I wipe my face with my hand and call out, trying to at least hear someone. Maybe they already went inside. " Kevin!" I yell. No response.

My vision clears up and I look around. I'm facing the lake house but don't see any movement inside. They're probably just pranking me, like they always do.

A snowflake falls from the sky. But it's the middle of summer? I finally notice the misty cool air that's been coming out of my mouth. What's going on?

Terrified, I look around for the source of this. I can't seem to find anything which only adds to my fear. That's when I realize, I'm not affected by this cold wind. Although the wind is freezing, I can't feel it. It's almost as though I'm wearing a heavy coat with many different layers of clothing underneath but I'm not, I'm in my swimsuit.

That's when I see a man standing at the edge of the lake. He walks across the surface, the water freezing underneath his weight. "Hello, Daesyn." He hisses.

I stare in horror as the man gets closer, the water under him turning into ice. What is he doing?

" No hi back?" The man bellows.

I can't manage to say anything, so I swim. Just as I'm about to turn and dive, I find a body in front of me. Angie. She's face down in the water and her body is pale. I turn to find the man closer now.

" What do you want?" I whisper while backing away.

" You, of course." He says with a smile.

" What? Why-why did you do this." I look around at the dead bodies of my friends. Kevin floats not too far from the man's steps. A whimper escapes my mouth.

" You think I did this? This? You did all of this, Daesyn." He announces. He's about 3ft in front of me now but I can't seem to back away.

I don't want to. I want to know. " What are you talking about?" I ask.

He gets down on one knee, his face closer to mine. " You're like me, Daesyn. Haven't you noticed?"

I shake my head in a shiver, the air cooling even more around us.

" Well then, let me show you." A large icicle begins to form in his hand and all I can do is stare in amazement.

" How-how are you doing this?" I ask.

He puts a smile on his face. " Like I said, let me show you." His grip tightens around the icicle and he thrusts the icicle into my stomach, my breath catching in my throat along with my widening eyes. I look down at my wound, my skin slowly turns pale and blue around the icicle and spreading. My vision begins to blur but I still look up, only to find the man staring at me with a smear on his face. " I'll see you later, Daesyn." And that's all I hear before everything goes dark.
