. All of the birds are so happy when they finally get their first flying lesson . All of the little baby birds run tot he edge of the nest , sprouting their wings and ready to fly , determination on their energized faces. They chirp with joy and look to each other with anxious glances .
The hatchlings mother flaps her wings into the air and now hovers above them , a smile on her long past tired face . The hatchlings trying flapping their wings , and some succeed while others fail and try again . One little bird who had made it into the air chirps with acomplishment as one of the others comes to join him .
They look at each other with radiant smiles and start flying around the tree . Their mother warns them not to , but she can't watch them while helping the others . Soon the male hatchling gets tired , yet he can't seem to spot the nest . " Lets go back " Chirps his sister . He could see his sister getting tired . It was his duty to protect her . She was the smallest hatchling of the bunch .
Soon his dear sister started to fall and he spread his wings wide as he dove after her . He could faintly spot the nest now , he was headed past it in a few seconds or so . His mother had helped his two brothers into the air as they squealed victouriously . He picked up speed , now he was falling with his sister .
He rammed his head into hers and she quickly tumbled into the warm and cozy nest . He was coming towards the ground . He tried to flap his wings , and he did a few times , but he was so tired .
Soon the family of birds mourned their lost son and brother . He had fell to the ground saving his sister . A sister who had always blamed herself .
