Moving to LA was the biggest thing I was ever going to do with my life. I was finally getting out of this stupid town and leaving every bad memory behind me. I could rant on and on about how I hated my hometown, so I am going to introduce myself so you have some idea of who is telling you this crazy story.
My name is Rose, I am a short, but curvy, 25 year old with dark brown hair which looks black until I step into the sun, bright forest green eyes, random freckles on my face and really long lashes. I have one cat, one red Mini Cooper,(that I bought myself), and three college degrees in the theater arts and movie development. I am straight out of college and running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get an internship so i can move on with my life.
Now that you are officially caught up with who the hell I am, I can now start this long story about life and finding the one I honestly never could imagine being "The ONE".
It all started the day I got a phone call from an assistant to a director who was looking for an intern to take under his wing. So of course I took the opportunity as quick as I could. The only problem was, it was in LA and I still lived at home in Davis, (I went to UCDavis to get my degrees, by the by.) and I had to tell my mom and dad that I was moving. Not just out of the house but out of town, like eight hours away. Lets just say that wasn't going to end well at all.
"Mom, Dad? Could you guys come here for a minute?" I said with as much trepidation as possible. "What is it sweetheart? Are you alright?" My mom said. "I'm fine, i just need to talk to you about somethings. Okay....here it goes. I got a job offer in LA and i already had a look at a penthouse very close to work and i can afford it and will be able to afford it in the future and i bought it yesterday when i was suppose to be shopping, well i mean i did go shopping for house decor and food but i didn't know how to tell you guys so well....i'm moving." (Can you tell I ramble when i get nervous?)
My parents just looked at me, with no expression whatsoever....great. After what honestly felt like a decade, my dad finally said he was happy for me and couldn't wait to help me move. My mother on the other hand was not thrilled at all. She went upstairs to her bedroom and didn't help me pack. i was stuck with my brother, his wife, and dad helping me. That night they had helped me pack up my clothes and half of my room into the moving truck i rented as soon as my dad said he was happy for me. I couldn't fit all that into my little car! So by the time 2 weeks rolled around i found myself hugging my parents goodbye and jumping into the truck with my cat, setting of on a new life in LA. It was hard to watch them in the review mirror but i knew this wasn't a forever thing and as always i would be home as soon as i left, or so i thought.
~Sorry for the short chapter but i really wanted to leave it right there. i liked the ending of it! The chapters will totally start to get longer as the story progresses. :) ~
