Chapter 12 - Explaination

Pidge's POV

""I can't tell if he looks healthy... or not." Hunk commented. We were all surrounding Lance and Crystal's healing pods.

"I think he's breathing weird." I said.

"Oh, come on!" Keith said, sounding quite annoyed. Keith then tried tapping on the pod, but Allura stopped him.

"Not yet! A few more ticks." she said

"How much better do you think he's gonna get in a few more ticks?" Keith said, somehow sounding even more annoyed.

"And what exactly is a tick?" I say, adjusting my glasses.

"You know, a time-slice." Allura said like it was something everyone knew.

"What, like a second?" Shiro pointed out.

"What is a... "second"?" Allura responded with a confused look on her face. I then pulled out my timer.

"Like this." I said, holding it up.

"I'm not sure. I think ticks are bigger. Coran, do you have a ticker?" she said, turning around to face Coran.

"Right here, Princess." the moustached man said, holding up a small white and blue device.

"I think ticks are a little slower." Hunk said.

I looked back and forth at mine and Coran's devices."I can't tell. We have to start them at the same time."

"Okay. Ready, go!" We then started our devices. Everyone huddles around us.

"Yes! I think we're winning." Hunk said, sounding kind of excited.

"Winning what? The intergalactic time-measuring competition?" Keith asked.

"Yes." Hunk said, dead serious.

Then, someone came up behind us."You guys having a clock party?" Lance asks sleepily.

"Aw Lance, you ruined it." Hunk said. Then he realized. "LANCE!" Lance was then wrapped in a bone-crushing hug.

"What happened?" Lance asked looking around.

"We can tell you all about it while you get something to eat. Are you able to walk?" Allura asked.

"Talking? Eating? Are you asking me out on a date?" Lance said shooting Allura a flirtatious look. We all give him unimpressed looks.

"Yep. There he is." I say.

"Classic." Keith states. Just as Keith finished talking, Crystal's pod opened. I rushed over to catch her, just barely making it. She lets out a small groan.

"Ugh, what happened." she asked, looking up at me. "Pidge? Pidge you're okay!" she said, pulling me into an embrace. I blush. "I though Sendak hurt you."

"I'm fine. Now, why don't you come with us to the dining room. You and Lance need some food." I then help her walk out of the healing wing, unaware of the looks Lance was giving me.

In the Dining Room

Crystal's POV

"Wow, so a lot happened that I don't even remember." I said while scooping some food goo into my mouth. Lance was equally surprised at what happened.

"It sound like we all had quite the adventure. But it sounds like the mice did more than you, though." Lance said, motioning to Keith. Keith then shot him a scowl.

"We had a bonding moment. I cradled you in my arms!" Keith then held up his hands. I snickered, earning me a glare from Keith.

"Nope. Don't remember, didn't happen." Lance said, shaking his head. 'Oh Lance, I know you remember it. I'm so gonna use that against you in the future.' "So, what happened to Sendak?" Lance continued.
