(You will be short, sorry if you are a lucky tall dude)
------------------------------------------------------------"(Y/N), how tall are you?" It all started with a simple question asked out of boredom. (Y/N) kept getting teased and poked fun at by the lamp-post. It's not (Y/P) fault (Y/P) was short, it's (Y/P) mother. (Y/N) is barely over five foot, five-foot-one(5'1) to be correct. It's not (Y/P) fault that Sam was six-foot-four(6'1) either.
"(Y/N), are you sure you aren't a penguin in human skin?" Sam started one morning, making (Y/N) groan as (Y/P) cooked breakfast, "Or are you just a baby kangaroo?" (Y/N) rubbed (Y/P) forehead as (Y/P) flipped the pancake.
"You aren't getting any of my pancakes," (Y/N) muttered as (Y/P) fixed Dean's plate, leaving Sam's empty but for only a minute. (Y/P) craved in and placed two or three flat cakes on his plate which made him smile at (Y/P), "Not a word, Sam."
"Awe, aren't you just a fiery short stack of pancakes?"
"I'll cook you and feed you to pigs, Samuel." Sam chuckled at (Y/P) statement as Dean dragged himself into the room only in his boxers and robe that wasn't tied. A man appeared next to Sam so fast, it's like he came out of thin air, "We have a hunt today, so eat up."
"When do we never?" Dean asked around a mouthful of food. (Y/N) shrugged gently as (Y/P) grabbed the folder (Y/P) made, "Aren't you gonna eat? They're really good." (Y/N) shook (Y/P) head gently.
"My stomach hurts right now. I'll eat later." Dean's eyes closed slightly as he nodded, "Anyway, the thing we have to hunt is something about Tony Giles' murder. The wife said she had seen a woman the night her husband died but the police didn't believe her."
"So we gotta talk with the wife and then probably break into Tony's office, don't we?" (Y/N) nodded to Castiel's question, "How about we split up, me and Sam will break-in, and you and Dean talk with the wife? Tony presumably has something on his computer and Sam knows how to hack. (Y/N), you know how to act so you can try and pry some information out of her by 'relating' to her story." (Y/N) pursed (Y/P) lips and nodded.
"He's smart." (Y/P) pointed at Castiel as the boys finished up their food.
"And you're just a cute shorty." Sam laughed as (Y/N) threw a blueberry at him, "But let's wait until it's night so it's easier to get in the office without being caught but Dean and you can go now and see what she has to say." (Y/N) nodded as (Y/P) dried (Y/P) hands on a towel.
"Dean, go get ready. We leave in ten," (Y/N) ordered him softly. Dean scoffed but got up and went to get ready, "Doesn't like being ordered around, my butt." (Y/N) laughed gently as (Y/P) walked behind him to go to (Y/P) room.
Sam heard (Y/P) and he snickered.
"Okay, her story is that after they found Tony's body, she saw a pale woman with red eyes," (Y/N) mumbled to (Y/P)self as Dean slowed to a stop in front of the wife's house, "And, be prepared."
"For what?" Dean unbuckled as he turned the engine off.
"Because I'm about to start crying when we go in there." (Y/N) didn't give him the time question (Y/P) as (Y/P) got out.
Dean quickly got out and lightly jogged to catch up to (Y/P). (Y/N) took a deep breath and held it as (Y/P) closed (Y/P) eyes. Dean waited while watching (Y/P) face. (Y/P) nose grew red as (Y/P) eyes grew puffy.
"Okay... Ring the bell." (Y/N)'s voice was hushed and wavery. Dean was confused and shocked that (Y/P) could just do that but he did as told.
A young woman with short reddish-brown hair opened the door in her nightgown and robe. She pushed her glasses up and looked at them. Dean was in a suit and (Y/N) was dressed in a pair of sweatpants with an oversized hoodie that may or may not be Sam's. The wife sniffled at the same time (Y/N) did. She asked who they were and what they wanted.
"Hello, ma'am, I'm from the FBI on the case of yours and Mrs (Y/N)'s husband. If you don't mind, can I have a few words with you?" Dean asked as he showed the wife his badge. She wasn't sure but as she looked over (Y/N) again, this time noticing (Y/P)'s been crying, she let them in, "Thank you."
"I don't why you guys are here again." Karen wiped her nose as she sat in the couch, "I already gave my statement to the police and FBI, neither believed me." Dean nodded as Karen handed (Y/N) a tissue.
"I understand that. I'm just trying to connect the ropes here because Mrs (Y/N) here has the same story," Dean explained softly as he rubbed (Y/P) back. (Y/N) nodded as (Y/P) looked up at Karen through (Y/P) bloodshot eyes.
"Y-yeah... I saw this r-really pale woman with red eyes outside my house before m-my husband died... He left to go to work late last night and never come home... I-I assumed h-he was che-cheating because you don't just disappear like that, you know?" (Y/N) took a deep breath as tears pushed over (Y/P) waterline again, "B-but I got a call a-about an hour ago, s-saying he was d-dead." (Y/N) silently sobbed into (Y/P) tissue as Dean's lips formed a straight line.
"See, I'm just trying to help you two. My sister's husband was taken by something that took your husband. I don't think it's human if you know what I mean. It can't possibly be human because when we looked at the tapes of the office, no one entered or left it at the time of the murder." Dean left his hand on (Y/N)'s back to remind (Y/P) that it isn't real.
"That's all I know, I swear... He left yesterday night to work late for his boss and never returned... B-but I got to see the body before they took it. It looked like there were bruises on his wrists." Karen's voice was so small that Dean almost missed it. He nodded his head at her as he stood.
"Thank you for your time, Mrs Giles. I hope you can feel better soon." Dean gave her a hug before he followed (Y/N) out of the house. Karen closed the door after she whispered something to (Y/N). (Y/P) nodded at Karen before (Y/P) got in the Impala, "What did she say to you?"
"She told me if I need anything or anyone to talk to that I can go to her." (Y/N) closed (Y/P) eyes as (Y/P) tried to make the puffiness go away but to no avail, "Ugh, I guess I was crying real tears," (Y/N) muttered as (Y/P) rubbed (Y/P) eyes, only making the redness worse.
"Sam's gonna kick my ass," Dean declared as he pulled onto the highway. The radio started playing 'Black Dog' by Led Zeppelin, "Sorry, the car has been bugging all week." Dean went to turn the radio off but (Y/N) stopped him by turning it up.
"It's all good," (Y/N) spoke in a small voice. Dean looked over (Y/P) as (Y/P) closed (Y/P) eyes again, "I like Led Zepplin."
"Didn't know you liked classical rock music," Dean commented, impressed. (Y/N) smiled lightly as (Y/P) nodded (Y/P) head to the music and at him. Dean was singing along as (Y/N) hummed the music. It was a blast as the drove back, "Sam always gets onto me for listening to it this long. He doesn't seem to enjoy the art I listen to." (Y/N) giggled as Dean pulled up to the motel.
"Hello to you, Munchkin." Sam was smiled widely as Dean and (Y/N) walked into the door. (Y/N) groaned.
"And I was having fun today." Sam was laughing until he looked up at them.
"(Y/N), have you been crying?" Sam was up quicker than he's ever moved in his life and he was cradling (Y/P) face in his large hands.
"Yeah, but it's not real. It was an act that I pulled so we can get something out Karen, the wife." (Y/N) leaned (Y/P) head against his hand with a small smile, "And we did. She saw bruises on his wrist when she looked at the body to identify it." Sam nodded as he ran his thumb over a scar on (Y/P) right cheek.
"Okay, this is too sappy. I'll be in the other room if you need me." With that, disappeared to the bathroom. Castiel vanished with a promise to be back. (Y/N) sighed gently and smiled up at Sam.
"Hi, lamp-post."
"Hi, half-pint."
