Jet Lag

Dedicated to: Arielle Villarreal

‘Soul Society,

It was near the break of dawn in the Soul Society and the tenth squad captain, Toushirou Hitsugaya did not have any sleep from doing paperwork that he still cannot finish. Since, a certain raven-haired Kurosaki will not get out his mind. HE cannot get his girlfriend out of his mind. Yes, the amazing child prodigy has a girlfriend he fought with his life.

The girl that made him face death nearly twice in the blade of Zangetsu and

The girl that made him break all the rules of Soul Society

The girl that he resisted frosting Matsumoto every time she teases him

And, most importantly, she is the girl he knows he loves.

The girl is none other than…

Karakura Town, 12:00mn

Karin Kurosaki stared at her ceiling listening to music with her phone on her tummy. She cannot sleep; she misses her boyfriend so much that it kills her. She wants to her his cool voice; see his amazing teal-ish blue eyes, his gravity-defying hair and most importantly the way the world feels whenever she is around him. She misses him so bad, that she already placed a picture of him on her car and she cannot have a single day without the thought of him.

It’s the guy she know she loves

The boy that made her break every rule she had about having long-distance relationships

The boy she know that would protect her every single day

And most importantly it’s the boy she can be herself, without getting ashamed about it

The boy is none other than

Soul Society, Daybreak

Toushirou looked at his window and saw that the sun is already rising. He smirked and glanced on his phone.

Master, you should call Karin-chan. She must be worried for you. Hyourinmaru said

You think that I should call her. Toushirou said

Of course, you should. You are her boyfriend.

I think I would. It is killing me.

Yes, it is. Go dial her number already.

Of course, I will. Toushirou said, taking his phone and dialed Karin’s number

It rang three times, before the girl picked it up.

Karakura town, 12:15 am

Karin laid on her bed still thinking about Toushirou and she heard her zanpakuto talk to her. It is a wolf named Rokukaen.

Master, you miss the boy. Rokukaen said

Yeah, is it obvious? Karin said

Yes it is. You are worried that he may not call. Or even come back

Can you please stop saying that?

Master, is just saying your feelings for him.

I know.

He will call, so, stop worrying okay.

Yep. Karin said and heard her phone ring. She looked at the number and its Toushirou’s phone. She answered it and said,

“Toush, I miss you!”

“I know Rin, I miss you more. I really do.” Toushirou said

“I thought you already forgot to call me.”

“Me? Forget you? Impossible.” Toushirou said, “I love you so much too just forget you.”

“Thank you.” Karin said, “Will you come back?”

“Just wait for five days. I will be there, on the railings, just like the day we met.”

Karin smiled, “I don’t think I can wait for five more days.”

“I’m still there. Just look inside your mind, I’ll still be there to visit you in your dreams.”

Karin smiled, “I love you.”

“I love you, too.” Toushirou said, “I think you need to sleep.”

Karin yawned and said, “I think I should. Good morning, my prince.”

“Good night, my princess.” Toushirou said, smiling.’

In West High, 4:40 pm (Dismissal Time)

Sophie Smith sat on the teachers table with Amber Schmidt beside her. She is just telling about the fan fiction that popped in her head in the middle of their Technical Writing class. It is about their favorite pairing which is HitsuKarin. It’s a story based on the song ‘Jetlagged’ by Simple Plan.

“C’mon, publish it!” Amber said, “Go create a pen name in Wattpad already!”

“No.” Sophie said

“Why?”

“Because, I don’t want to,” Sophie said

“Whatever, Sophie, You should publish your works. Some people deserve to see it you know.” Amber said, jumping off and arranged the chairs with Zach, since their only ones left of the cleaners.

Katherine looked at Sophie with a look that says,

‘She still doesn’t know?’

Sophie nodded, jumping off the table, took her bag and fixed her books and notebooks. She saw a yellow sticky paper on her notebook that says,

‘Tell her, that you’re PnkHrEdRbL, already.’

       -.-

Sophie smiled, she already know who the culprit is. She hid the note in her notebook, so that she can stick it in her locker later.
