Equestria's Wolf

Chapter: 1

       The land below was growing closer and closer as the grey pegasus neared the ground. With one more powerful flap of his wings, the pegasus sped to the ground and placed his hooves on the ground. He looked around and noticed a small cottage a few steps away, slowly he made his way to the door and gave a swift yet strong knock. There was a loud bang before the top part of the door opened to reveal a small pegasus with a  butterscotch coat and long light pink mane. "Hello, I'm ThunderClaw and I was hoping you could help me," the grey pegasus said. The pony on the other side seemed to shy away from the door and hide her face behind her long mane, "W-what can I h-help you with s-sir?" she asked barely above a whisper.                                                          "I'm looking for a town, I believed it's called Ponyville," ThunderClaw said. The butterscotch pegasus pointed off into the distance, it wasn't far. ThunderClaw looked to where she pointed and saw what seemed to be a town, his ears perked up with amusement. He then turned back to the pony that guided him, "Thank you, what's your name by the way?".                                                           "F-F-Fluttershy" she replied while backing up. Any normal pony wouldn't have heard her but ThunderClaw nodded and opened his wings, he then lifted off the ground and flew to Ponyville. As he grew closer he placed his hooves on the ground and began trotting into town, as he was walking around taking in the sight he noticed a giant crystal castle in the shape of a tree. 'This should be exciting' he thought to himself while extending his wings and taking off towards the castle. As he grew closer he examined the building, it was massive and was shaped like a tree. It was made of crystals and seemed to be natural. ThunderClaw trotted up the stairs and knocked on the door, there were a few unnatural noises before the door swung open. On the other end was a purple alicorn with a darker purple mane with a pink streak. "Hello, Welcome to my castle and the Ponyville library, how may I help you?" ThunderClaw took a step back and stared skeptically at the alicorn, "Uh aren't there only three alicorns in Equestria?" he asked.     

                         "Nope, some years ago I became the Princess of Friendship. My names Twilight Sparkle, how have you not heard of me?" she asked. 

"I'm new here," he said still skeptical of the alicorn. Twilight's eyes lit up and her wings extended in excitement, she pulled the grey pegasus inside and pulled out a quill and paper. "You've got to tell me where you come from! Every pony knows who I am, even non-ponies so that means you must come from a very far away place," 'This mare is bucking crazy!" he thought to himself. "I'm from the dragon lands," he said. Twilight gave a confused look, "But even dragons know who I am, and you're not a dragon," she said.

"Yeah, I know," he said sarcastically. Twilight frowned and started to pace around the room mumbling to herself, eventually, she wrote something on her paper and teleported it away. "So, are you always like this?" ThunderClaw asked. Twilight turned to him and blushed in embarrassment and gave a nervous chuckle, "No not all the time, I have some tea on the kettle stay here. I'd like to talk to you more," she said before walking away. 'I should escape while I can...eh I guess I'll wait' he thought to himself. Soon Twilight returned with two cups of tea, while the two talked five more ponies walked in. "Good, you girls are here," Twilight said while getting up to hug her friends. ThunderClaw's hed hit the table and he groaned, everypony turned to him but it was the orange coat one that spoke up. "Something wrong partner?" she asked. Her thick country accent put him off a bit but he composed himself quickly, "This purple pony has been assaulting me with questions and now there's more of them" he said throwing his hooves up dramatically. This action a few giggles from the group, "Sounds like you had a rough day," the orange pony said "I'm Applejack, the unicorn to my right is Rarity, Pinkie Pie is the pink one, Rainbow Dash is the rainbow one and that one is-" ThunderClaw cut Applejack off, "Butterscotch!" he said with a sigh of relief.

"Y'all met?" Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow. Fluttershy nodded slowly, " She pointed me in the direction of Ponyville when I first got here," ThunderClaw said. 

"Her name is Fluttershy, not Butterscotch silly," Pinkie Pie said. ThunderClaw turned to the pink mare and instantly he felt his cheeks warm up. His face became bright red and his wings shot out, "Marry me"

Everypony stared at him either confused or in discomfort at what he said, "What was that?" Pinkie Pie asked bouncing over to him. ThunderClaw snapped out of his trance and rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled, "I didn't s-say anything". Pinkie Pie shrugged and went back to bouncing around the room while humming to herself. Before another word could be said ThunderClaw felt a sharp pain in his head but before he could react the room got dizzy and turned pitch black.
