Equestria's Wolf

Chapter: 2

   'Ugh my damn head', ThunderClaw tried to get up but found that he couldn't move his hooves. He tried again only to fall on his side, "Buck that hurt" he mumbled. Suddenly Thunder was engulfed in warm fuzzy magic and was placed upright again, he looked up and saw Twilight glaring at him. Applejack was giving him an uneasy stare, Rarity had a somewhat frightened expression while Fluttershy looked uncertain. Pinkie was the only one who wasn't judging him and she was humming a tune to herself. ThunderClaw looked up to Fluttershy, "Butterscotch what's going on?" Fluttershy hid away behind her mane and Twilight stepped in front of him. "Listen here werewolf, you're gonna tell us what you're doing here before I have  Celestia blast you to the moon," the alicorn said coldly while still holding the glare. 

"How did you know I was a werewolf?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

"While you were talking to the girls I noticed you're cutie mark, It's a paw mark with small blue and silver flames around it. Then I remembered seeing that in a book, the only ponies with those marks are werewolves. Only thing is, werewolves went extinct a year after Princess Luna was banished to the moon," Twilight explained, "Now, what are you doing here?" ThunderClaw looked around at the other ponies for some type of help, when he realized he was on his own he took a deep breath and let the wolf out. His eyes changed from dull red to ice blue and his coat grew out more ragged and thicker. His size double and broke through the chains that held him down, claws grew from his hooves as they twisted into paws, his body morphed into the body of a wolf and his wing size doubled. ThunderClaw threw his head back and howled. The five ponies stepped back and stared in fear at the beast before them, Fluttershy's eyes shined with tears ready to be let loose. Twilight's horn lit up and blasted the werewolf in the chest, ThunderClaw shook it off and swiped at Twilight, the alicorn spread her wings and flew out the way. Next was Applejack, she ran under the beast and bucked him on the back. ThunderClaw's tail knocked Applejack out the way and sent her flying into a wall. As Twilight, Applejack and ThunderClaw battled a rainbow blur zoomed in and tackled ThunderClaw to the ground. Rainbow Dash backed away and went to help Applejack, "What the buck is that?" she asked helping Applejack get up. 

"A werewolf" a soft and calm voice replied. Everypony looked to the doorway and saw Princess Luna and Celestia. The six girls ran over to the two sisters, "Get back" Twilight said with her horn lit to attack again. Rainbow Dash stood in front of Fluttershy and took a defensive stance while Applejack prepared to charge at the beast. "Relax my little ponies, ThunderClaw is no real threat," Luna said stepping towards the werewolf. Thunder shifted back to his pony form and ran to the dark blue princess, he threw his hooves around her buried his head into her shoulder. "Luna, you're alive. Thank the night I thought we lost you" he said.

"Relax little Thunder, you haven't lost me. I'm here to stay" Luna said patting his back. Eventually, ThunderClaw let go and stared the Princess of the night in the eyes. "Ok, somepony tell me what's going on," Twilight said looking confused. 

"Long ago werewolves served under Princess Luna and helped her control the night. When I banished her to the moon the werewolves were furious and rose up to claim revenge. The battle soon became too much and I was forced to banish them to another land, eventually, without their Princess, they became depressed and slowly became extinct" Princess Celestia explained. 

"So ThunderClaw is the last werewolf?" Rarity asked.

"I think, I was one of the very few that kept the faith. If they're others then I don't know where they are" ThunderClaw explained. The group moved to the map room and began discussing werewolf culture and what to do with ThunderClaw. Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash wanted to kick him out. Rarity suggested he stayed at the castle with Twilight or with Luna,  Pinkie wanted him to stay in Ponyville and Fluttershy didn't really have an opinion on this. Eventually, they settled with him staying in Ponyville with Twilight, she wasn't very pleased with this but didn't argue. Before Luna and Celestia left Luna gave ThunderClaw a necklace that had a blue sapphire at the end. "Follow me," Twilight said in an annoyed tone. Thunder followed her up the stairs and to a room, "This is your room and Spike can show you any other place" she said before brushing past him to return to her friends. ThunderClaw snorted and closed the door and looked around, there was a queen sized bed along with a desk and a window. As Thunder sat on the bed he sighed, 'I should've stayed in the Dragon Lands' .
