Chapter Eleven || Cousins and Fashion

"Tanya?" I blurt out nung makita ko yung babae.

"Aubrey?" She says too.

We both squealed and hugged each other. Kourtney was looking at the both of us weirdly.

"Grabe, I missed you Aubrey!" Sabi ni Tanya at lalong hinigpit ang yakap sa'kin. Grabe, miss na miss niya talaga ako.

"I missed you too Tanya." I said at kumalas sa yakap. I smiled at her. She looks absolutely gorgeous. Matagal ko na siya hindi nakikita pero ang ganda pa rin talaga niya. Her skin as white as snow and her pretty brunette locks. She always had nice lips and a pointed nose. Her eyebrows were styled naturally. Her hazel eyes never changed as it was the same childish ones I shared when we use to bunk beds. Nakasuot siya ng plain white na shirt and jeans pero ang model like ng dating niya.

"Psst!"

Lumingon ako kay Kourtney. Omg, I forgot to introduce them.

"Tanya meet Kourtney, a new friend of mine." Sabi ko at pinalapit si Kourt.

"Hi Kourtney! Nice to meet you! I'm Tanya Ashleigh, Aubrey's second cousin." She lends out a hand that Kourtney accepts.

"Tanya ikaw lang naman pinsan ko." Sabi ko at tumawa kami.

"Sabagay!" She says at tumawa ulit kami. Parang mga baliw lang but that's how it always was with Tanya.

"Guys, I'm still here?" Sabi bigla ni Kourt at napalingon kami pareho. She was amused at everything that was happening. She smiled at the both of us. "Hi Tanya! Want to go shopping with us?"

"Of course! Why not?" She replies.

The three of us started browsing the racks. Naghahanap si Kourtney ng bagong jacket at ako naman naghanap ng magandang dress. Tanya was helping me dahil she loves to pick out dresses for me. Bata pa kami,  personal stylist ko na siya.

"Can I ask something Tanya?" Kourtney says at lumingon kay Tanya.

"Go ahead Kourtney." Tanya smiles at her. Feeling ko magiging close sila. They're both bubbly and supportive.

"Bakit ngayon lang kayo ulit nagkita ni Aubrey? Not that I want to pry." Sabi niya at bumalik sa pagtitingin ng mga jackets.

"Well, I moved to New York with my family. We just visit the Philippines from time to time. The last time I was in the Philippines was, I think, 3 years ago? Diba Aubrey? Kasama mo pa nga si Oli-" I give Tanya a hard glare. She immediately understands at tinuloy yung sinabi niya. "Anyway, di kasi ako mahilig sa video calls because of the time zones so me and Aubrey rarely talk to each other. I just wanted to surprise her ngayon. That's why I'm in H&M today. I'm surprised that I bumped into the both of you."

I was relieved na hindi nagsalita si Kourtney about the guy Tanya mentions. As we browse to the racks biglang may naalala si Tanya at tumingin sa akin with an accusing glare.

"Ano meron?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Humalukipkip siya.

"Your boyfriend! You haven't introduced him to me! I saw one of your covers where he was recording the video of you singing. He's cute ah. You have good taste Aubrey. By the way, where's your best friend? Monique was it? You two were inseparable! Nasaan siya? Did she go to the restroom?"

I froze. Nakatingin 'lang sa'kin si Tanya, waiting for the answer to her question. Tumingin sa'kin si Kourtney with a worried look plastered on her face. I couldn't move. Parang nakatapak ako ng landmine.
